HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION

4-Minimal –No great risk to health.


Inhalation: Avoid exposure to vapours, fumes and mists.
APMA Health Rating Human Eyes: May cause slight irritation, any possible contact to
Health Hazards be avoided.
Environmental Hazards Skin: No hazard expected if used in moderation, direct
contact to be avoided.
Ingestion: May cause gastro-intestinal irritation,
dizziness, nausea and loss of consciousness.
No records of chronic effects found, so considered low
hazard Non-toxic but can have undesirable
environmental side effects so a lot of care must be taken
with disposa

FIRST AID MEASURES

In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek


General medical attention. Never give anything by mouth to an
unconscious person. : Move to a safe area with fresh air.
Inhalation Keep person warm and at rest. If not breathing, if
breathing is irregular or if respiratory arrest occurs,
Eye Contact provide artificial respiration or oxygen by a trained
person. Give nothing by mouth.
Ingestion Skin Contact If unconscious, place in recovery position and seek
medical advice. : Rinse thoroughly with potable water
for at least 10 minutes.
Wash mouth out with copious amounts of clean water. :
Do not induce vomiting. Keep person warm and at rest.
Seek medical advice immediately and show this Safety
Data Sheet to the medical officer. : Remove
contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash skin thoroughly
with soap and water or use a recognized skin cleanser.
Do not use solvents or thinners.

FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES

* This paint is NOT flammable but the dry residue is combustible.


* Expect no direct explosion hazard. Use CO2, dry powder or foam.

ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Personal Precautions Ventilate the area. Avoid breathing in vapours.


Remove all sources of ignition e.g. flames, sparks, static
electricity and heat.

Spill Contain and collect spillage with absorbent material.


Dispose of according to local regulations. Do not allow
spillage to enter sewerage drains or watercourses.

HANDLING AND STORAGE

Handling Keep container tightly closed. Keep away from heat,


sparks and flame.Eating, drinking and smoking should
be prohibited in areas where this material is handled,
stored and processed. After handling the material,
workers should wash hands and face before eating,
drinking and smoking.

Storage Store in a cool, well-ventilated area away from


incompatible materials and ignition sources.
Keep away from oxidizing agents, strong alkaline and
acids. No smoking. Containers which have been opened
must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent
leakage.
