A concrete pile of 12 m length and 400mm in diameter is driven in a layered heterogenous soil
is meant to carry a permanent and variable actions of 𝐺𝑘 = 800𝑘𝑁, 𝑄𝑘 = 400𝑘𝑁 as shown in
Figure 3 below. Using EC 7. DA1- C1 and DA1-C2. Determine the load carrying capacity of
the pile with the corresponding degree of utilization. Note the unit weight of concrete is 𝛾𝑐 =
