● First things first: Magick is everywhere. You can use anything to perform spellwork, and you can
practice magick at any time.
● There is no right or wrong way to practice magick or spellwork. Your mystical practice is yours
to play with, develop, and tailor to your life.
● Cultivating your intuition is essential when developing your practice. What works for one
practitioner may not work for another, and that is completely okay. Likewise, this guide is just
that: a guide. You’re welcome to use the tips and tricks that resonate with you, and leave the rest!

How does magick work?
● Magick is the practice of channeling energy in
an intentional way to produce a desired
outcome.
● Metaphysical practitioners often spell magick
with a “k” to distinguish it from other forms of
magic, such as the magic a magician performs
for theatrical entertainment.
● Practicing magick is an act of deep
consciousness, intention, and creativity.
● Remember that your magickal practice is fluid;
it will grow, change, and mature… just like you.

Tuning in to your intuition
● So… what exactly is intuition? Your intuition is an instinctive knowing; it’s a feeling that arises
in your mind and/or body that allows you to understand something immediately without
thinking through it consciously.
● One of the most powerful tools you have to guide your mystical practice is your intuition.
● As you traverse the physical and astral realms, it’s important to tune in to the feelings and
images that arise in your mind and body. These sensations will help you hone your craft and
better understand which types of spellwork work best for you.

Tuning in to your intuition
Need help getting in touch with your intuition? Try this exercise:
● Choose an object you’d like to work with. Plants or crystals work great for this exercise, but any
object will do!
● Find a comfortable position close to your object. Close your eyes and take three deep breaths.
Drop into your body.
● Once you feel settled, rub your hands together so that your palms heat up. Imagine light building
in the palms of your hands.
● Once you’re ready, connect the palms of your hands to your chosen object. You may choose to
hold the object directly or hover your hands above it. For example, you may hold your crystal
with both hands, or hover your hands around a plant.
● Imagine the energy of your palms connecting with the energy of the object. What thoughts,
feelings, sensations, and/or images arise? How would you describe the consciousness of the
object?

Tuning in to your intuition
Need help getting in touch with your intuition? Try this exercise:
● You’ll need a journal, pen, and candle for this exercise. You’ll be invited to tap into automatic
writing to get in touch with your intuition.
● Find a comfortable space where you can sit and write.
● Take a few deep breaths to ground yourself.
● Light your candle and gaze into the flame. This is called scrying. As you stare into the dancing
flame, allow your mind to loosen and wander; observe any images, sounds, sensations, or
emotions that arise within you. Stay here for as long as you want.
● Once you’re feeling ready, grab your journal and put pen to paper. Don’t think! Just write to see
what emerges from your consciousness.

● A witch’s altar is often the center of her magickal practice. Creating an altar can help you
devote physical space to the astral realm.
● Altars come in infinite shapes and sizes.
○ Living in a small space? No problem! You can create a movable altar, one that you set up
in your space when practicing magick, and tuck away once you’re done. Alternatively, a
window sill or a small shelf is also a great place for an altar!
○ No space restrictions? Go wild! Devote a table, bookshelf, corner, etc. to your altar.
○ Take away: Your altar should fit your space and personal mystical practice. Size and objects
are not important; intention and ritual is.

Working with the Elements
The four elements are:
EARTH AIR FIRE WATER
Why do we work with the four elements? In many spiritual practices, it is believed that the four
elements are what make up our material world. Thus, when practicing magick, spellwork, ritual,
and the concentration of energy, working with the four elements connects our intention to the
physical plane, amplifying our ability to materialize our desires. And don’t forget: the zodiac is
broken up into the four elements, as well!

4. Inversion
5. Repetition

Correspondence
Working with the micro and the macro.
● Employing correspondence involves linking one thing to another; the act of representing an idea
or intention with an object
○ MICRO ← → MACRO: something small symbolizes the whole
● Tables of correspondence are great tools to use when planning your spell work.
○ Eg: Planetary days and hours, color symbolism
Examples:
● Perform a spell on the day that corresponds with your intention.
○ For example, if you’re planning a love spell, perform it on Friday, since Friday is Venus’s
day and Venus rules love.
● Wear a certain color to augment your intention and or energy.
○ For example, if you’re going on a date, where red or pink to symbolize desire and love.
● Choose candle colors that match your desire.
○ For example, if you’re manifesting more money, choose a green candle to symbolize
prosperity and security.

Tuesday = Mars’ Day: day of action and violence, motion, sex, traditionally associated with war
Wednesday = Mercury’s Day: communication, language
Thursday = Jupiter’s Day: philosophy, spirituality, education, knowledge, highest spiritual state
Friday = Venus’ Day: love, money, beauty, values

Sympathy and Antipathy
Working with attraction and repulsion.
● Using objects to represent yourself/the situation
Sympathy Examples:
● To attract love, use two candles, one to represent you, and one to represent a love interest. Move
them closer day by day until they are touching, at which point your spell is complete.
Antipathy Examples:
● Bind the candle representing your ex and put it in the freezer to keep them away from you.
● Send the name of the person your would like to cut out of your life to an undeliverable address
with no return address.
● Burials are a great way to put something to rest or cut ties.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS GUIDE IS FOR CONSTELLATION CLUB MEMBERS ONLY. DO NOT DUPLICATE OR SHARE.
Contagion
Once attached, always attached.
● This method is used mainly when crafting
spells related to people.
● This method requires you to use an object that
was once physically attached to the person
involved in the spell.
○ Eg: a lock of their hair, a tissue they used,
a strawberry they bit into
● An object that was once physically attached to
the person will forever embody their energy,
which is why using these items in spellwork is
effective.
● You can use this method when creating
sympathy or antipathy spells.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS GUIDE IS FOR CONSTELLATION CLUB MEMBERS ONLY. DO NOT DUPLICATE OR SHARE.
Inversion
Reflect back on others what they reflect on to you.
● This method of magick deflects negative energy away from you.
● This is a style of magick that can be incorporated into your daily
practice.
● The symbol of the evil eye hinges on this principle; wearing an
evil eye or hanging an evil eye over your door deflects negative
energy away from you/your home.
Examples:
● Carry around a mirror to reflect a person’s negative energy away
from you.
○ This could also be useful when dealing with spirits.
● Eat spicy food to cleanse your body of negative energy.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS GUIDE IS FOR CONSTELLATION CLUB MEMBERS ONLY. DO NOT DUPLICATE OR SHARE.
Repetition
Consistency, ritual, and rhyme.
● Performing spellwork consistently is essential to developing a robust and effective magickal
practice.
○ Magick is a practice, meaning it requires consistent attention and, well, practice!
○ Eg: Performing magick during New and Full Moon rituals
● Repetition takes on many forms in spellwork:
○ Consistency: Creating a consistent magickal practice by implementing regular rituals into
your life (eg: lighting a candle and mediating every morning)
○ Rhyme: Creating intentions and spells that utilize rhyme so that they become their own
powerful frequency (eg: “I cut the ties that bind us. These ties were never mine. Heal in light and
kindness through the end of time.”)
○ Repetition: The simple act of repeating an intention to yourself over and over again,
outloud or in your mind’s eye, builds its power and helps propel results into the physical
realm.

Candle Magick
● Lighting a candle is one of the simplest magickal practices
you can do.
● The act of lighting a candle with intention helps you
connect to the astral realm and strengthens your spellwork.
● Lighting a candle is a simple and easy way to mark the
transition into your sacred space. Similarly, blowing out
your candle afterwards will signify your return to the
physical realm.
● Use color correspondences to mirror your intentions.
● Carving candles is another great way to utilize candle
magick. Carving your candle with a specific intention,
lighting it, and letting it burn is a simple spell of
manifestation. Check out the Candle Carving Workshop replay
on Patreon to learn more!

Bath Magick
● Taking a bath can be a very magickal ritual.
The element of water, itself, possesses
immense healing and magickal energy, but
you may also choose to add bath salts, dried
herbs/flowers, crystals, and oils, depending
on your intention.
● You may choose to take a salt bath to
cleanse yourself of negative energy.
● You can also use ritual baths to amplify
your intentions. For example, if you want to
attract love into your life, you may choose to
take a bath, focusing on how you would feel
if you were in loving partnership. You could
include rose quartz, rose petals, and a
soothing oil to help you connect to your
intention.

Making Sigils You can find sigil-making
guides like this one online.
● Creating a sigil involves transforming an
intention into a symbol. Watch the Candle Carving
Workshop replay on Patreon for a how-to!
● There are many methods you can use to create a
sigil. As long as you're connecting to your
intention and intuition, there’s no right or wrong
way to do it!
● Sigils are extremely powerful magickal tools. The
act of creating the symbol imbues it with your
magickal intention and energy.
● Sigils can be carved into candles, drawn and placed
on your altar, written on paper to be used in
spellwork, etc.

Potions
● Potions and spell jars are a great way to
physically represent an intention or spell.
● You can create a potion for any purpose,
such as a love potion!
● To create a potion you’ll need a base (such
as glycerin), plus any and all ingredients to
help you connect to your intention. This
may include small crystals, herbs, glitter,
flowers, spices, or charms. Don’t be afraid
to be creative and follow your intuition!

Ancestral Worship
● If you’re interested in connecting with your ancestors,
creating an altar for them is a great way to do so.
● You may choose to include photos of them, candles,
offerings of food and water, objects that once belonged
to them (like jewelry), or items they like (such as
paintbrushes, if they liked to paint).
● Worshipping your ancestors can include practices such
as leaving offerings of food, drink, or objects they
liked; praying to them; offering them appreciation and
gratitude for their guidance; chatting with them; and
meditating with them. You may experiment with all
these different practices to find what works best for
you!

Manifestation
● Manifestation is the process of moving your intentions from the astral (psychic) to the
physical plane.

desires, secrets, conditions, travel, health

Manifestation
● These two planes are connected in an infinite feedback loop, so what you do in the astral
dimension informs the physical dimension, and vice versa.

Manifestation
● Working with both the astral and physical dimensions strengths your ability to manifest. In
other words, don’t just think about what you want — do something to support your goal. By
operating in both realms, you remove blockages between these spheres in order to funnel
energy between both domains.

How to create a spell...
1. Craft your intention. What is your goal? Are you looking for love? Manifesting money? Healing your
inner child? Cutting ties with a toxic person?
2. Decide on your method(s). Which modes of spell casting best fit your intention? Feel free to mix and
match methods accordingly. For example, you may wish to use correspondence and antipathy to cut
someone out of your life; or you may wish to use correspondence, sympathy, and repetition to manifest
a love relationship.
3. Choose your tools. Which tools do you have at your disposal? Which ones best suit your intention?
How much time do you have?
4. Plan your spell. When will you perform your spell? Will it correspond to a specific lunation or
planetary day? Where will you perform your spell? At your altar? Outdoors? Write out your intention,
method, tools, and plan if that helps you envision your spellwork.
5. Cast your spell.
6. Revisit your intention. Repetition and ritual is an important component of spellwork. If you’re trying
to manifest or heal, revisiting your intention and/or spell is essential. For example, you may decide to
light the candle you used while casting your spell and repeat your intention back to yourself every day.

How to create a spell: An Example
1. Craft your intention. I want to manifest a raise.
2. Decide on your method(s). Correspondence, repetition.
3. Choose your tools. Green candle, incense, bay leaves, blank check, pen and paper.
4. Plan your spell. I will perform my spell on Friday (Venus’ Day) because of its correspondence to
money. I will perform my spell at my altar. On Venus’s day, I plan to cleanse my space and prepare my
tools. I will then light my candle and journal about the raise that I want in order to craft a concise
intention. Once I have my intention, I will write myself a check for the amount of money I desire. I will
place the bay leaves and check on my altar and repeat my intention as many times as feels right. Once I
feel that my intention has been received by the Universe, I will blow out my candle. I will keep the bay
leaves in my wallet and the check on my altar.
5. Cast your spell.
6. Revisit your intention. I will return to my altar everyday to light my candle and repeat my intention.
So mote it be!

Spellwork Template
Here are some general guidelines to follow as you perform a spell:
1. Clean and cleanse the space where you will be practicing magick.
a. You can cleanse your space by burning herbs or incense, ringing a bell, or using your
energetic intention.
2. Establish your sacred space.
a. Once the energy is cleared, center yourself, tap into your intuition, and call upon your spirit
guides and/or ancestors for guidance (if you so choose).
b. You may wish to light candles, burn incense, change the lighting of your space, etc. to set
the atmosphere for your spellwork. Note that your intention is the most important ingredient,
always! If you don’t have any physical tools for magick, your intention is all you need to
establish your space.
3. Perform your spell.
4. Close your sacred space by thanking the Universe for its support and guidance, blowing out
your candle, ringing a bell, or anything else that feels right to you, and allows you to peacefully
transition back into the physical world.

Final Notes
1. Spellwork does not open any demonic portals. It is simply a manifestation of the energy that
already exists.
2. My recommendation is NOT to perform spellwork on others or for others within your own
energetic sphere.
3. When in doubt, remember the Law of Threefold Return: Anything your put out into the
universe will come back to you x3.

Confidence Spell
Instructions:
1. Light your incense and candle to establish your sacred space. Take three deep breaths to ground
yourself and connect with your intuition, inviting the divine guidance of the Universe into your space.
2. Stare into the flame of your candle (this is called scrying) in order to enter a meditative state. As you
connect with the theme of confidence, notice any feelings, images, ideas, or sensations that arise.
3. Once you’re ready, journal about your experience. Then, distill your thoughts into one intention. If you
can create an intention that rhymes, that’s great!
○ Example: “My ideas are magickal and divine; all the confidence I desire is mine.”
4. Once you’ve written your intention, hold your candle in your dominant hand (safely!), and your crystal or
charm in the other. As you repeat your intention outloud or in your mind’s eye, pass the charm/crystal
through the candle flame to imbue it with the energy of your intention.
5. When you feel that the charm and Universe have received your intention, thank the Universe for its
support and guidance and blow out your candle. So mote it be!
6. You may keep the charm/crystal on your altar, in a special place in your house, or keep it in your pocket
to connect with and bolster your confidence. Wherever you keep your charm/crystal, connect with it
each day by holding it in your hands and repeating your intention outloud or in your mind’s eye.
