Refining your entries using multiple confluences
increases accuracy and reduces stop-outs. Smart
Money Concepts (SMC) traders use a layered
confirmation approach to enter with precision.
Key Confluences for High-Probability Entries
To refine your entries, combine at least 3-5 confluences
before entering a trade:
1️⃣ Higher Timeframe (HTF) Market Structure
Always align with HTF trend or range structure
before entering on lower timeframes (LTF).
Look for: BOS (Break of Structure), CHoCH (Change
of Character), Supply/Demand zones.
Example:
• HTF (4H) is bullish → Only take long entries on
M15/M5.
2️⃣ Liquidity Grab (Inducement)
Wait for a liquidity sweep before entering.
Look for equal highs/lows, trendline liquidity, or
stop hunts.
Example:
• Price sweeps equal lows → Taps an Order Block →
Confirms reversal → Enter long.
3️⃣ Smart Money Zones (Order Blocks, FVGs,
Supply/Demand)
Enter inside fresh, high-quality Order Blocks (OBs)
or Fair Value Gaps (FVGs).
Ensure these zones haven’t been mitigated yet
(avoid used zones).
Example:
• Price grabs liquidity → Taps unmitigated OB →
CHoCH on LTF → Entry.
4⃣ Lower Timeframe (LTF) Confirmation
Drop to M5/M1 for precision entries.
Wait for a CHoCH/BOS before entering.
Example:
• HTF bullish, price taps 4H OB → Drop to M5.
• If M5 shows CHoCH + bullish confirmation →
Enter long.
5️⃣ Entry Triggers (Wick Rejections, Engulfing Candles)
Use candlestick confirmation before entering.
Look for strong rejection wicks, engulfing candles,
or QM patterns.
Example:
• Price taps OB → Prints bullish engulfing on M5 →
Enter.
6️⃣ Kill Zones & Session Timing
Trade only during high-liquidity sessions:
• London Open (7-10 AM UTC) → High volatility.
• NY Open (1-4 PM UTC) → Reversals & momentum
moves.
Example:
• If price taps an OB at London Open, entry is
stronger than during the Asian session.

Scenario: Bullish Entry Using Multiple Confluences
HTF: 4H BOS → Price is bullish.
Liquidity Grab: Sweeps equal lows at $2,015.
Smart Money Zone: Taps unmitigated 1H Demand
Zone + FVG.
LTF Confirmation: M5 CHoCH forms → Bullish wick
rejection at $2,016.
Entry: Buy at $2,016, SL below OB at $2,013, TP =
$2,025.
