VERB TO BE

Description:
The verb to be (in Spanish ser or
estar) Is irregular and has several
forms: Am, I, Are, Is (Present); Was,
Were (Past). It can be used to
describe objects, people or animals,
It can also be used to locate,
describe, and other things.
Can be used on:
Negative
Afirmative
Interrogative
Past and Present
Origin:
The verb “to be” comes from
Anglo-Saxon, an early form of
the English language that was
spoken in much of England and
southern Scotland between
425 and 1125 A.D.
Examples on Afirmative form:

These sentences also can be abreviated,
He Is the teacher. example:
They are playing.
I am = I'm
She is beautiful.
He is = He's
I am a doctor.

Negative form
Like affirmative form, it can be used for
negative sentences, expressions, and
more.
Examples on Negative form:

They aren't drawing.
I'm not your friend.
Camila doesn't like purple.
Interrogative from:
It can be used for questions, obviously.
Are you a Doctor?
Where are you from?
How old are you?
