Title: Who Am I? Can you Guess?
Natalia skipped down the street, her bright eyes taking in the sights
and sounds of her community. As she walked, she noticed a woman
with a kind smile and a stack of books.
"Good morning, Ma’am! who are you?" Natalia greeted and politely
asked.
"Good morning, Natalia!" the woman replied. "I'm a teacher, and I
help children learn exciting things in the classroom."
Natalia’s eyes widened. "Wow! You're a community helper, just like
my mommy says! Do you teach them how to read and write too?"
"Absolutely," the teacher chuckled. "Reading opens doors to
amazing worlds, and writing lets us share our own stories."
Natalia continued her walk, a newfound appreciation blooming in
her heart for the people who made her community special. Soon,
she spotted a man in a white coat with a stethoscope around his
neck.
"Hello, sir, who are you?" she asked curiously.
"Hello, Natalia!" the man smiled warmly. "I'm a doctor, and I help
people who are feeling unwell."
"A doctor! You're a community helper too?" Natalia exclaimed. "So,
you help people get better when they have a cough or a tummy
ache?"
"Exactly," the doctor confirmed. "It's important for everyone to feel
healthy and strong."
Natalia thanked the doctor and continued; her head filled with
questions. Around a corner, she saw a man in a uniform standing
beside a shiny car.
"Hello, sir, good morning," Natalia greeted. "Who are you?"
"Good morning, Natalia," the man replied. "I'm a police officer, and
I'm here to keep our community safe."
Natalia’s eyes sparkled. "Police officer! So, you're a community
helper too?"
"Yes," the officer nodded proudly. "We help people in need and
make sure everyone feels safe to walk the streets."
As Natalia continued her walk, she spotted a man tending to a field
bursting with colorful vegetables.
"Hello, sir, who are you?" she asked politely.
"Hello, Natalia," the man greeted kindly. "I'm a farmer, and I grow
the delicious fruits and vegetables you and your family enjoy."
Natalia's smile grew wide. "You're a community helper too! You
make sure everyone in our community has healthy food to eat."
Natalia skipped back home; her heart filled with a newfound
respect for the people who made her town flourish. She realized
that everyone, from teachers and doctors to police officers and
farmers, played a vital role in creating a safe and happy place to
live. Maybe, Natalia thought, one day she could be a community
helper too!

tools they use in the job they do in the community. The children
work together to match the helper with their tools or tasks (e.g.,
matching a firefighter with a hose, a teacher with a chalkboard).

tools help this community worker do their job?”

community
F. Values
Appreciating community helpers
Since all of you know what community is and who are the
community workers, teacher gladys will ask you questions
what do you feel when you help other people?
What do you think would happen if we didn't have
community helpers?
Can you help other kids to love and respect our community
workers?
Why is it important to work together to make our community
better?
Study the picture of the community worker (shown on the screen).
Use your favorite colors to color the community worker in the
picture. Make them look bright and colorful. Look closely at the
tools or materials the community worker is using (example a
stethoscope for a doctor, a hammer for a construction worker).
Color these items as well to show how they help the community
worker do their job. Below the picture, you’ll see a sentence related
to the community worker (I am a "doctor," "firefighter," or
"teacher"). Use a pencil or crayon to trace over these words.
