DIFFRACTION GRATING SPECTROScOPES
Inside a spectroscope you will see the color “spectrum”—red, orange, yel-
low, green, blue and violet. When viewing a gemstone, dark vertical bands
are seen at certain points along the spectrum; each gem has a unique “fin-
gerprint” by which you can make a positive identification.
OPL Spectroscopes provide a fixed slit and fixed focus for your conven-
ience. They contain high quality craftsmanship, made in England.
