A. Content standards of:

 The learner demonstrates an understanding of common and distinct musical


characteristics of South Asia and the Middle East.

B. Performance standards of:

 The learner performs South Asia and the Middle East music with appropriate pitch,
rhythm, expression and style.

C. Learning Competencies of:

 Analyzes musical elements of selected songs and instrumental pieces heard and
performed (MU8WS-IIIc-h-4)

I. OBJECTIVES

Objectives must be met throughout the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To
meet the objectives, necessary procedures must be followed and if needed, additional lessons,
exercises and remedial activities may be done to develop content knowledge and competencies.
These are assessed using Formative Assessment strategies. Valuing objectives support the
learning of content and competencies and enable children to find significance and joy in
learning the lessons. Weekly objectives shall be derived from the curriculum guides. At the end
of the lesson, students are expected to:

a. Identify the background & music of Israel.

b. Appreciate the different vocal music of Israel.

c. Perform example of Israel’s folk song.
