Fibonacci Sequence- The Fibonacci sequence is a type series where each number is the sum
of the two that precede it. It starts from 0 and 1 usually. The Fibonacci sequence is given by
0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, and so on. The numbers in the Fibonacci sequence are
also called Fibonacci numbers. The Fibonacci appears in the smallest, to the largest objects in
nature. It is a way for information to flow in a very efficient manner.

Concentric Circles- Concentric circles are defined as two or more circles that share the same
center point. They fit inside each other and are of the same distance from the center. Many
flowers, seeds, and plants, as well as the food we eat, include circles. To be reminded of the
natural forms in our world, all we have to do is look at the rings in a tree’s development, the
perfect round cup of an acorn, and the ripples in puddles.

Fractals- A fractal is a never-ending pattern. Fractals are infinitely complex patterns that are
self-similar across different scales. They are created by repeating a simple process over and
over in an ongoing feedback loop. Driven by recursion, fractals are images of dynamic
systems – the pictures of Chaos. Geometrically, they exist in between our familiar
dimensions. Fractal patterns are extremely familiar, since nature is full of fractals.
Fractals are known as geometric shapes that display similarity through the full range of scale
—that is, they look the same no matter how big or how small they are. And they are, in fact,
ubiquitous in nature.

What do patterns in nature play in ecosystems, and how might they affect biodiversity or
the balance of life?
The patterns around us are very important, their existence might be unnoticeable to some,
but it plays a very important role to each and everyone's lives. An example of this is tree
branches, they serve as the place where animals like birds and squirrels live.
Without these tree branches, some animals will have no place to live and could be easily
caught by predators and with that kind of situation, it would bring chaos to our ecosystem. In
conclusion, these patterns in our ecosystem could be a beginning of a new life and an end of
one.
