Following your application for admission into the Public Universities, I am pleased to inform you that
you have been offered a place at Pwani University, in KILIFI, to pursue a BACHELOR OF
EDUCATION SCIENCE course in the SCHOOL OF EDUCATION

You are therefore expected to report for registration according the date and your school as scheduled
below.

This offer is made on the basis of the statement of your qualifications indicated by you in your
application form. It is subject to satisfactory verification of those qualifications by the University
authorities.

You MUST therefore scan the originals of the following documents and upload into the system as
instructed in your student portal:

KCSE result slip or Certificate, (ii) School Leaving Certificate, (iii)National ID or Birth Certificate
(iv) Letter of acceptance of offer and (v) Passport size photographs from a good studio.
You will also be required to present Original and Copy of your KCSE result slip or Certificate, School
Leaving Certificate, National ID or Birth Certificate and also four (4) passport size photographs to
the University authorities for verification on the reporting day.

The admission is also subject to you paying in full the semester fees as indicated in the fee
structure.
Note:

You will not attain status of a fully registered student until you have paid the semester fees
in full and also have registered for the courses are required in step 5 in the student portal

Fees should be paid to Pwani University Bank Account at least 3 (Three) days before the
reporting date.

Further Note as follows:

1. That this offer does not automatically guarantee you accommodation in the Hostels in the
University. However, those interested in in-campus accommodation are advised to book for it
online from the student portal. But, to do so, you MUST have paid the relevant accommodation
fees and also successfully completed Steps 1, 2, 3 and 9 given in the portal.
2. (a) Your studies will be governed by the common regulations for undergraduate students of the
University, and the regulations of your respective schools in accordance with the joining
instructions contained in forms PU/ADMS/FORM/15 up to PU/ADMS/FORM/21. Hard
copies of these forms should be completed and submitted to the University on the
reporting/registration day.
(b)Forms PU/ADMS/FORM/18 will be handed to the University Medical Officer on the day of
registration.

3. (a) You are also eligible to apply for a Government scholarship, loan and bursary to assist you
with your educational expenses. If you require Government financial support, you MUST make
an application for consideration through the official scholarship and loan application portal
www.hef.co.ke. Should the Government scholarship, loan and bursary not be sufficient to cover
the entire cost of your programme, the remaining fee balance will be the responsibility of your
parent/guardian.

1. As a guide, the criteria used by the Government to fund students, whether for scholarship, loan
or bursary towards tuition fees, is based on the categories and parameters shown in the table
below and so, as you make your application please take note of this.

On reporting to the University, you shall be required to produce proof of your categorization
(e.g. Vulnerable, Needy, etc.) from the Universities Funding Board.

You are also required to have either a laptop or tablet for online teaching-learning instruction.

If you wish to defer for one reason or another, you are advised to fill and submit the deferment
application form to the Registrar (ASA) within four (4) weeks of the reporting date. The deferment
forms are obtainable from the University website, under downloads, www.pu.ac.ke.

Please note that this admission offer is valid for two (2) consecutive academic years after which it
lapses.
