Project This project is an Emergency Alert Device designed to send
Description emergency alerts via SMS and Email when activated by pressing a
button. The device uses an ESP32 microcontroller, a GPS module,
and a SIM800L GSM module. Upon activation, the device retrieves
the user’s GPS location and sends it to predefined emergency
contacts through both SMS and Email, ensuring safety in case of
distress.
The device is powered by an ESP32, which is connected to the
SIM800L GSM module for SMS functionality and a Wi-Fi network for
email alerts. It uses a GPS module to fetch real-time location data.
The project aims to provide a reliable and efficient safety solution for
individuals in emergency situations.
Responsibilities Designed and implemented the entire system using ESP32, SIM800L
GSM module, and GPS module.
Integrated TinyGPS++ for real-time location tracking and ESP Mail
Client for sending email alerts.
Configured SIM800L to send SMS alerts with the GPS coordinates.
Developed and tested the functionality for both SMS and Email
alerts, ensuring reliability in emergency situations.
Managed the device's power consumption, ensuring it runs on a
battery and operates efficiently.
Used PlatformIO and Arduino IDE for programming and debugging
the device.
Conducted real-time testing and debugging using the Serial Monitor
to track device behavior and troubleshoot issues.
Developed the user interface and communication protocols between
