The memories of veteran freedom fighter, true Gandhian, Ex-parliamentarian, and Ex-minister of
UP State, Late Shri Ram Murti Ji were the inspiration for setting up the Shri Ram Murti Smarak
Trust in the year 1990. The vision and mission of the Trust are to use all its resources for the
upliftment of mankind, by service to humanity. With the inspiration of the Late Shri Ram Murti
Ji and with the untiring zeal and enthusiasm of Shri Dev Murti, Shri Ram Murti Smarak College
of Engg. and Tech. was established in 1996. The college today offers courses in Engineering,
Pharmacy, Management and Computer Applications. SRMS CET is recognized as a benchmark
institution in terms of defining standards of quality education. The Sprawling scenic and serene
campus stretching to over 30 acres, provides an ideal atmosphere for the pursuit of academic
activities. Shri Ram Murti Smarak College of Engineering and Technology is the only self-
financing college in U.P to have received "Soft Loan" under Technical Education Quality
Improvement Programme (TEQIP) of World-Bank. The SRMS Trust has also furthered a noble
cause by establishing Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences, which includes a
700-bed Multi Super Specialty; Tertiary Care hospital and Trauma Centre a Medical and a Nursing
College. The campus of medical college and hospital is spread over an area of 30 acres and is
located at 13.2 Kms. on the Bareilly-Nainital Highway, Bareilly (UP).

This theme represents the fusion of tradition and modernity, where
cultural heritage fuels creativity, and innovation drives progress. "Ignite"
symbolizes the spark of new ideas, while "Culture & Innovation"
signifies the balance between preserving traditions and embracing
change. It encourages individuals to draw inspiration from their cultural
roots while channelling that wisdom into groundbreaking innovations. By
reimagining traditions through creativity and technology, this theme
highlights how culture can be a catalyst for transformative ideas, proving
that true progress emerges when heritage fuels innovation.

 If the no. of participants/teams in any event is less than 3 then the event will be cancelled on
the spot.
 If the no. of participants/teams in any event is 3 then only FIRST prize will be distributed.
 If the no. of participants/teams in any event is 4 then only FIRST and SECOND prizes will
be distributed.
 If the no. of participants/teams is more than 4 then FIRST, SECOND and THIRD prizes will
be distributed.
 In case of any draw the final decision will be made by the Organizing Committee and
Judgement Committee.

 Top panel of Verve and Caring Hands including Trust Ev ent Coordi nator, President,
Vice-President, Secretary, Joint Secretary and Treasurer cannot participate in any events of
SPANDAN.
 All Chairpersons can participate in total 2 events including event of their respective club.
 Head Co-ordinators and Committee Co-ordinators can participate in 2 events of SPANDAN
including event of their respective committee.
 SPANDAN Executives can participate in 3 individuals/solo event and can participate in
only 1 group events of SPANDAN.

 Time Limit: 2 – 3 minutes.
 Song selection as per participant’s choice.
 Fusion of songs is allowed.
 Use of props is permitted. However, props that can cause any harm are strictly prohibited
(like metal rods, sharp and pointed objects, fire, water, etc.).
 Songs with explicit or vulgar lyrics are strictly prohibited.
 Maximum of 7 participants are allowed from each college of SRMS Trust.

 Theme of GD is “IGNITE: THE BEAT”


 Time limit is 8-12 minutes for each performance. Negative marking for exceeding the time limit.
 There is limit 4-24 members in the team.
 There are maximum of 3 blackouts allowed.
 According to the theme provided participants are required to choose their songs.

 The participants are requested to bring two copies of song in their pen drives to avoid technical disturbance. Out of
which, they are also requested to submit one copy to the chairperson/coordinator of the event.
 No props will be provided by the coordinators. Participants can carry their own props.
 Green room would be given for changing purpose.
 The participants will be judged on the basis of their rhythm, formation, synchronization, expressions, and costumes,
makeup, setup and overall effects.
 Vulgarity of any kind with respect to dance moves, costumes, etc. will lead to disqualification.
 No touching of opposite gender is allowed.
 Decision of the judges will be final and binding.
 Minimum of 5 participants must be present on the stage during performance.
 Maximum of 2 teams are allowed from each college of SRMS Trust.

 Instruments/ karaoke allowed.
 Participants have to bring their instruments (if using).
 Beat-Boxing is not allowed.
 Use of filthy lyrics is prohibited.
 No written material allowed during performance.
 Participants must bring their own tracks and should submit it to the coordinator 10 minutes before the
commencement of event.
 Song in any language are allowed.
 Only one round for all events.
 Marks shall be deducted if the participant exceeds the time limit.
 Any in-disciplinary action will lead to disqualification.

 This is a Solo Singing Competition.


 Only Bollywood songs are allowed.
 3 minutes time will be allotted.
 Maximum 7 participants from a college can register for this competition on the basis of first come first serve.

 Only 8 entries are allowed, based on a first-come, first-serve basis.
 A total of 18 minutes time will be allotted, including sound check.
 The band must comprise of 4-8 members only.
 Only one round of performance will be conducted.
 A drum set with 2 crash cymbals and 1 ride cymbal will be provided by the organizing team.
 Only songs in Hindi, English, or Punjabi are allowed. Lyrics must be submitted before the performance.
 Judgment shall be done on the basis of: Song Selection, Instruments Sound Quality, Stage Presence and Voice
Quality.
 Decision of the judges will be final.
 Any in-disciplinary action will lead to disqualification.
 Marks shall be deducted if the band exceeds the time limit.

"सं वाद: समझ का सं गम"

 Dramatics committee will only provide chairs, one table, Cordless mics, hanging mics, and collar mics (depending
upon availability). All other props must be brought by teams.
 The committee will fulfil any other special requirement depending upon the availability and on pre-notification by
the participating team.
 Arena boundaries will be decided and defined by the chairperson (according to the place of the act) before the events
of each group.
 Drama can be bilingual.
 Touching other participants is allowed as part of the act or performance; however, any improper touch deemed
objectionable by the Jury Committee (JC) will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification.
 Team exceeding the time limit will be penalized (marks will be deducted for the same).
 Backstage voice of a participant will be considered as participation of that member in the team.

 All team drama events should be based on the theme. If not, some negative points will be awarded.
 Vulgarity shall lead to disqualification of the team from the event.
 If there will be any dispute, then all the teams involved in the dispute will be disqualified.

 Each team must have a minimum of 10 members and a maximum of 20 members.

 Time limit is between 8 minutes to 15 minutes.
 Props are allowed, but participants must arrange them themselves. Only dupattas, hand-
made posters, calling bells, drums, and steel plates are permitted.
 No music support allowed.
 Uniformity in dress is required.
 Maximum of 3 teams will be accepted from college of SRMS Trust.

 Time limit is between 8 to 15 minutes (including setup time).


 Theme is not compulsory for movie spoofs.
 Each team must have a minimum of 8 members and a maximum of 15 members.
 Props are allowed and participants have to arrange them on their own.
 Scripts can parody one or more movies, series, advertisements, news segments, or
channels.
 Background sounds are allowed.

 It is a team event with 3 members per team and at least 1 girl and 1 boy in each team.
 The event has 3 engaging rounds:

o 1st round: (fast track)- Teams have 2 minutes to sing as many mukhdas as possible, each starting with the last
letter of the previous mukhda.
o 2nd round: (word fitting round) - Teams must incorporate a specified word into the mukhda of their chosen
song.
o (confusing round) – Teams must identify the original song playing beneath a superimposed tune.

 Theme will be announced in the inaugural.


 Candidate will have to make the reel in this event.
 Winners will be decided on the basis of the number of likes, comments and shares received on their reel.
 Individual event.
 You have to make the reel on first day of Spandan in the CET&R campus and upload it on Instagram.
 You have to tag @srms.engineering , @srms_nursing , @verve.srms and @caringhands.srms on Instagram while
uploading and use hashtag #spandanfest2025
 Reels should be uploaded after inauguration ceremony.
 No auto liker and/or commentor is allowed (if found participant will be considered as disqualified).
 Only one video per participant is allowed.
 Decisions of the organizing committee shall be final.

 It is a team event with 3 members per team.
 The hunt will contain 2 challenging rounds.
 Solve the riddles in each round to unlock the next clue and progress.
 Teams that solve the riddles the fastest advance through the rounds and claim victory.

 A team of two participants is allowed.


 The event includes 3 engaging rounds:
 ROUND 1: Main Hoon Kaun?
o Hints about a famous personality will be given, and participants must identify who it is.
 ROUND 2: Movie Mania (Pass round).
o Questions about movie details, including storyline, songs, dialogues, and star cast, will be asked.

 ROUND 3: Punch line.

 This event contains Shayari, Poetry, Standup Comedy, Rapping, Beatboxing, Mimicry.
 Individual event.
 Time Limit- 3 to 4 minutes.

 Reading from the paper is allowed except in Standup Comedy.
 The submission can be in Hindi, English and Urdu.
 No use of slang/abusive words.
 Background music, musical instruments or pre-recorded music will not be allowed.
 Content should be your own.
 If participant content found copied then he/she will be disqualified.

 It is a team event with 3 members in each team.


 The event will have 2 rounds.
 Each team has to solve riddles to qualify each round.

 The time limit is 30 minutes.
 Participants have to bring their own material (only sheets will be provided).
 Geometry tools are allowed.

 It is an individual event.
 Topic will be provided at the time of the event.

 Participants have to bring their own material.
 A4 sheets will be provided.
