1 Summary
Graphic configuration software is for creating a system layout, flow charts or a condition charts. Operators
would easily understand what happened through the software. With which can help them to monitor the work
process and make a remote operation.
The graphy configuration software is comprised of GraphMak and GraphVew. GraphMak expresses the static
information of the graphics, which is unrelated to dynamic data. GraphVew is a group of dynamic graphics which
change their color, sharp and size according to their values.
The software provides abundant chooses to edit static graphics. Including creating, color filling, grouping,
breaking, rotating, scaling, cutting, pasting, copying…. Users gain flexibility to process graphics.
Besides, it provides plenty of options to edit dynamic graphics. Users can make dynamic effects like
allochroic, shown or hidden, moving and rotating….
The interactive features also provide functions like switching window, increasing or decreasing values,
database assignment, calling applications. Users can realize these functions by pressing the hot buttons.

3 Dynamic Characteristics
Dynamic Characteristics include scaling, locating, rotating, color changing, hiding, disabling, flashing, etc.
Select the graphics then use the icons on ‘action’ tool bar.
3.1 Size
A graphic defined a dynamic size will scale dynamically with the value of a certain tag, only if the tag, which
is stored in database and attached to the graphic, has its value in the range of maximum and minimum. The setting
dialog is shown in figure 3.1.
Tags: the variables stored in database.
Expression: a formula to calculate the argument out.
Scale direction: options of upward, downward, leftward and rightward.
Scale ratio: the upper and floor of the scale argument corresponded to the tag’s value.
Point value: the acceptable range of the tag’s value.
Scale or Clip: ‘Scale’ is like drawing the graphic in a certain direction and proportion. It might have an
apparent change but wouldn’t lose any part of it. Instead, the ‘Clip’ will cut parts of the graphic. For example,
circle scale 50% in any direction will turn to an ellipse, clip 50% will turn it into a semi-circle.
3.2 Location
A graphic defined a dynamic location character will relocate dynamically with the value of a certain tag, only
19
NT6000 GraphX Manual
if the tag, which is stored in database and attached to the graphic, has its value in the range of maximum and
minimum. The setting dialog is shown in figure 3.2.
Tags: the variables stored in database.
Expression: a formula to calculate the argument out.
Direction: options of upward, downward, leftward and rightward.
Maximum/ minimum offset: upper/floor offset according to the tag’s value.
Point value: the acceptable range of the tag’s value.
3.3 Rotation
A graphic defined a dynamic rotation character will rotate dynamically with the value of a certain tag, only if
the tag, which is stored in database and attached to the graphic, has its value in the range of maximum and
minimum. The setting dialog is shown in figure 3.3.
Tags: the variables stored in database.

7 Alarm System
7.1 Summarize
As an important component of human-machine interface, alarm system is responsible for collecting,
processing and displaying alarm information of DCS system. When a fault occurs, the alarm system notifies
operating personnel through visual and sound signals, the operating personnel may judge urgency of the alarm and
promptly take appropriate measures to eliminate the fault, according to the different types of alarm signals. It
together with the power plant process control system monitor the whole plant running state, it is an important
window of operating personnel understanding the whole plant operation.
Alarm system is made up of logic layer, data service layer and presentation layer
Logic layer of alarm system is the alarm logic configuration in DPU, generation and recognition of alarm
data can be fully synchronized, and alarm server configuration can be cancelled in the system. Since the alarm is
generated in DPU, complex alarm requirements can be implemented according to the actual process needs, the
unwanted alarm information can be reduced in the system.
According to eNet agreement, data service layer completes functions of accessing alarm data from DPU, data
processing, alarm analysis, and ultimately providing data services for presentation layer. Data service layer is the
bridge between logic layer and presentation layer in NT6000 alarm system.
Presentation layer of alarm system is user interface, which reads alarm information provided by eNet and
indicates the running status of the current alarm unit, according to four color combinations of whether to have
alarm and whether to confirm the alarm status. Alarm system provides a filter to show only some concerned alarm
information, the others remain in memory and can be read from memory when needed, the current alarm filter
modes include by alarm zone (such as boiler alarm zone) , by time, by Tag (such as an important equipment) and
so on.
40
NT6000 GraphX Manual
7.4 Alarm Priority
The priority applies to all the alarms. Alarm priority manages the order of alarm display, identification and
activation.
0 is the lowest priority, 500 is the highest priority.
41
NT6000 GraphX Manual
42
NT6000 GraphX Manual
the alarm information can confirm alarm, for example, Operating personnel of stoker can only confirm boiler
system alarm and can not confirm the turbine alarm or the electrical alarm. If the current user does not have
permission, you are not able to confirm alarm, as shown in Figure 7.4.
also select the tags or devices in the database by clicking ‘ ‘. The filter mode supports wildcards ‘*’ and ‘?’,
you can also filter by checking ‘case sensitive’.
3. By Alarm Zone: You can select one or a few alarm zone by this option, only alarm information of the
selected zone can be displayed.
4. By Priority: You can filter according to the priority of tags or the devices, it means that only the alarm in
the selected priority range can be displayed.
43
NT6000 GraphX Manual
Show All: You can display all the alarm information and shield all the previous filter settings by this
function.
44
