Session 2: Risk Analysis Methodology
The ACAPS Afghanistan Analysis Hub team invites you to participate in two analysis
trainings focusing on risk analysis within humanitarian contexts. The sessions will
cover both an introduction to risk analysis and risk identification within
humanitarian contexts and an introduction to effective analysis of the Afghanistan
context. We will present methods and tools to improve your analysis of both the
context and risks, to enable stronger strategy and programme design,
implementation, and risk mitigation and preparedness.
ACAPS Afghanistan Analysis Hub is an independent analysis provider helping
humanitarian responders and decision-makers to take more evidence-based,
effective decisions amidst humanitarian crises. ACAPS has been producing
humanitarian analysis and capacity building in Afghanistan since 2021.

Nic Parham Ewa Wieliczko
Nic Parham is a Senior Analysis Advisor with Ewa Wieliczko is a Senior Analysis Advisor at
ACAPS and has led the development of ACAPS. Ewa is an experienced analyst,
ACAPS’ anticipatory analysis methodology manager, and facilitator who has been
since 2015. He worked in Afghanistan for an working with ACAPS since 2017 across
international NGO in the mid 1990s and multiple contexts. She designed and
early 2000’s and since 2021 has been produced risk and other anticipatory
supporting ACACP’s Afghanistan Analysis analysis on global, regional, and national
hub. He has extensive experience in training levels as well as delivered trainings on
in analysis techniques and has facilitated anticipatory analysis for local and national
courses for the UN, EU, and NGOs. NGOs, INGOs, UN actors, and donors. Her
expertise bridges the humanitarian system
and civil society, with a deep understanding
of the localisation challenges faced by
ONLINE international humanitarian actors and
national organisations on all levels of the
response.
