HELD ON FEBRUARY 11, 2024 AT 9:00 IN THE MORNING AT THE
BARANGAY HALL OF CUARINTA, SAN JOSE, DINAGAT ISLANDS.
“A RESOLUTION REQUESTING FUNDS FROM THE
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HIGHWAYS (DPWH)
DISTRICTENGINEERING OFFICE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF WATER
SYSTEM (RESERVOIR) AT BARANGAY CUARINTA, SAN JOSE, DINAGAT
ISLANDS”.

WHEREAS, we know for a fact that water is one of the most important
necessities and the health of the people is of paramount important, hence
the Barangay Government of Cuarinta is instituting necessary measures and
plans to protect its people from the possible infected with water borne-
diseases and ensure safe and potable water supply to every household;
WHEREAS, it is common knowledge that even though the water system of
Barangay Cuarinta is already in place, it still does not serve the entire
community, as it was envisioned to be;
WHEREAS, it has been the clamor of the residents of Barangay Cuarinta and
some National Offices and establishment that the said water system be
further improved as it is still does not satisfactorily provide potable water as
expected;
WHEREAS, the said barangay and some National Offices and establishments
still suffer the meager supply of potable water especially during summer;
WHEREAS, the barangay is merely relies on its meager income and IRA,
hence much of the desire of the Barangay Government to finance the
construction and establishment of Barangay Consumer Association but
deferred with its financial capacity, hence this noble request;
WHEREFORE, on motion of Honorable Leonardo P. Langit Jr. duly seconded
by unanimously, be it;
THE SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY OF CUARINTA, SAN JOSE, DINAGAT
ISLANDS:
RESOLVED AS IT HEREBY RESOLVED, to earnestly and respectfully the
District Engineer NOEL C. BASAÑES of DPWH District Engineering Office,
Barangay Cuarinta, San Jose, Dinagat Islands to grant financial assistance
amounting to Ten million pesos (Php. 10,000,000.00) for the Construction of
water System;
RESOLVED FURTHER, to furnish a copy of this resolution to District Engineer
NOEL C. BASAÑES of DPWH, FOR HIS INFORMATION AND KIND APPROVAL.

PESOS (Php. 40,000,000.00) FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF
EVACUATION CENTER OF BARANGAY CUARINTA, SAN JOSE, DINAGAT
ISLANDS”.

WHEREAS, among the top priorities of Barangay Cuarinta, this Municipality,
is the acquisition of an evacuation center to make the place resilient to any
disaster events and protect the general welfare of its people, pursuant to RA
7160;
WHEREAS, the Topography of Barangay Cuarinta, San Jose, Dinagat Islands is
usually stricken by strong winds during typhoon so there is a need to provide
an evacuation center for its residents;
WHEREAS, the barangay is financially incapacitated to undertake this very
urgent project.
WHEREAS, i t i s a v e r y u r g e n t f e l t n e e d o f b a r a n g a y p o p u l a c e
of Barangay Cuarinta, San Jose, Dinagat Islands.
NOW, WHEREFORE, on motion of Hon. Leonardo P. Langit Jr., duly
seconded by all Sangguniang Barangay members present be it;
RESOLVED, THEREFORE, as it is hereby resolved, to earnestly requesting
to pass a RESOLUTION REQUESTING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE
DISTRICT ENGINEER NOEL C. BASAÑES of DPWH DINAGAT ISLANDS DISTRICT
ENGINEERING OFFICE, IN THE AMOUNT OF FORTY MILLION (Php.
40,000,000.00) FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF EVACUATION CENTER OF
BARANGAY CUARINTA OF THIS MUNICIPALITY.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the copy of this resolution to be furnished to
the District Engineer NOEL C. BASAÑES of DPWH, for his information and
appropriate action.
