INTEGRATION ACTIVITY.

Share personal reflections from the lessons learned in this module. You may refer to
the following guide questions:
1. How will you integrate these concepts in the different levels of PHN Courses?
Answer: Through this module, I realized how important it is to build a strong
foundation in public health nursing. In the early levels of PHN, I’ll focus on
teaching students the basics—like the core principles of PHN, systems thinking,
and understanding how different factors affect community health. As they move
to more advanced levels, I will guide them in applying these concepts in real-life
settings—taking on leadership roles, participating in advocacy work, and
engaging in policy discussions. Step by step, they’ll see how public health
connects to bigger systems and learn their role in making positive change.
2. What teaching learning strategies will be effective in demonstrating these
competencies?
Answer: To bring out the best in students, I’ll use interactive strategies like case
studies, role-playing, small group discussions, and peer teaching.
Reflective activities such as journaling or storytelling will also help students
internalize their growth as future nurse leaders. I believe simulated
community problems will challenge their critical thinking, communication, and
collaboration skills in a safe learning environment.
3. What opportunities can you provide to develop these competencies among your
students?

Answer: I will create opportunities for students to take on leadership

roles—whether through group reporting, organizing health campaigns,
or leading community surveys. Encouraging them to actively participate
in Barangay health activities or interprofessional collaboration with
local health units will also give them a chance to practice leadership and
teamwork in a real setting. Moreover, giving timely, encouraging
feedback can guide their development and boost their confidence as
future public health nurses.
