Sir, Sub:- Resurvey Grama Sabhas-Huge Pendency for disposal of grievances -Services of village Surveyors exclusively utilise for Survey works and Not to utilise other than Survey works (Except pension distribution) Regarding. Ref:- Video Conference held with all District Collectors and DSLOs ‘on 30-11-2024. Aitention is invited to the reference cited. During the Video Conference with all District Collectors and DSLOs on the progress of disposal of grievances received during Resurvey Gramasabhas, it is noticed that huge pendency due to utilising the services of Village Surveyors. for other than survey works entrusted by the MPDOs/ Panchayat Secretaries, Tahsildars and other higher officials. As a result the F-lines/ Subdivisions’ PGRS/ Grama Sabhas petitions are not disposing in time which causes in Beyond SLA. The government decided to continue Resurvey operations in balance villages. The role of village surveyors are essentially involved in every stage of resurvey activity ie Refixing of Village boundary, Govt Lands, Ground Truthing, Vectorisation, Ground Validation, preparation of 9(2), 10(2) notices, preparation of DLR. and preparation final records as per timelines fixed by the government Hence, all the District Collectors are requested not to assign any other works other than Resurvey related works to the Village Surveyors except pension distribution.
