Q.1: Tell me something about yourself?
Ans:My name is Muhammad Daud Younas. I’ve recently done my intermediate from

playing games online. I’m working as a customer support representative. I'm interested in
being a chef. Because I’ve always had a deep love for cooking, and it’s more than just a job
for me-it's a real passion. For me, it’s not just about making food, but about putting my
creativity and heart into every dish. I enjoy experimenting with new flavours and ideas, and
it brings me great joy to see people enjoying the food I make.

communication is key. Once I have all the details, I would take immediate action, offering a
solution that aligns with both their expectations and the restaurant’s standards.
For example, if a guest has a dietary restriction, I would ensure we have alternatives
available that meet their needs without compromising flavor or presentation. If there’s a
quality concern with a dish, I would replace it promptly with a freshly prepared meal while
apologizing for the inconvenience.
Throughout the process, maintaining a calm and
professional demeanour is essential to ensure the guest feels valued and respected. The

like-minded individuals and make a real difference in people's experiences is what drew me

limits, expanding my culinary horizon, and maintaining a high standard of excellence in my
craft.
Q.3: In which department(s) do you want to do your internship?
Ans: I would be interested in doing my internship in a few key departments to gain a well-
rounded understanding of the culinary world and hospitality industry. These include:
1. Kitchen (Culinary Arts): This is the core of my training, where I can refine my cooking
skills, learn advanced techniques, and experiment with different cuisines. Working in
the kitchen will help me understand kitchen operations, food preparation, and
presentation at a professional level.
2. Pastry and Baking: A great opportunity to expand my knowledge of desserts,
breads, and pastry techniques. This area would allow me to work on precision,
creativity, and presentation, enhancing my overall culinary expertise.
3. Front-of-House (Service): Understanding the interaction between the kitchen and
the dining area is crucial. By spending time in this department, I’d learn how to
anticipate guest needs, manage customer relationships, and improve the overall
dining experience.
4. Banqueting and Catering: This would give me insight into large-scale food
preparation, event coordination, and managing high-volume service, skills essential
for any chef in a busy hospitality environment.
By rotating through these departments, I can get a comprehensive understanding of the
operations within a restaurant or hotel, helping me become a versatile and effective chef in
the future.
Q.8: Do you know about team work, what is team work?
Ans: Yes, teamwork is an essential aspect of any successful kitchen or hospitality
environment. Teamwork refers to the collaborative effort of a group of people working
together to achieve a common goal or complete a task. In a kitchen, this means chefs,
kitchen staff, servers, and management all working in sync to deliver a high-quality dining
experience.
Effective teamwork involves clear communication, mutual respect, and trust.
Everyone in the team must understand their role, support one another, and be ready to step
in when needed. In the kitchen, for example, a chef needs to rely on the sous chef, line
cooks, prep cooks, and other team members to ensure orders are prepared correctly and
efficiently, and that the service runs smoothly.
A strong team dynamic improves productivity, reduces stress,
and ensures that even in high-pressure situations, the team can perform well together and
meet the guest's expectations. It also fosters a positive work environment where everyone
feels valued and motivated to contribute their best.
Q.9: What is your biggest strength and what are your biggest weakness?
Ans: Greatest Strength: One of my greatest strengths is my ability to stay calm and focused
under pressure. In the kitchen, things can get hectic, especially during peak hours, but I
remain composed and ensure everything runs smoothly. This ability allows me to think
clearly, make quick decisions, and help my team stay organized even in the most challenging
situations. Additionally, my strong attention to detail ensures the dishes are consistently of
high quality, and I’m always striving for excellence in my work.
Greatest Weakness: A weakness I’m actively working on is my tendency to sometimes take
on too much responsibility. I want to make sure everything is perfect, and while that’s a
positive trait, it can occasionally lead to overextending myself. I’m learning to trust my team
more and delegate tasks effectively, ensuring we work collaboratively rather than trying to
do everything on my own. This has helped me improve my leadership skills and has made
the entire team stronger as a result.
Q.10: What do you know about our company?
Ans: I’ve researched your company and I’m truly impressed by your commitment to culinary
excellence and innovation. I understand that you are renowned for providing high-quality,
diverse dining experiences that blend traditional techniques with modern trends. Your focus
on using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and creating exceptional dishes for guests aligns
perfectly with my own values as a chef. I also admire your dedication to customer
satisfaction and your emphasis on teamwork within the kitchen. This makes me excited
about the opportunity to contribute to your team and learn from the talented chefs here.
In this type of response, I would show knowledge of the company’s culinary approach,
values, and the qualities that make them stand out in the industry. It’s essential to relate
their mission to my own skills and passion for cooking.
