SLIDESMANIA.COM
Ally gets sent to the principal's office
because she gave Mrs. Hall (her
teacher) a sympathy card at Mrs.
Hall’s baby shower, but Ally was very
confused when she got sent to the
principal’s because she saw the card,
and all she saw was a pretty flower
because she couldn’t read that the
card was a sympathy card. Her
teacher did not understand why Ally
would do this to her, but Ally was just
trying to do something nice for her

teacher.

works at and she is
mean to Ally.
SLIDESMANIA.COM
After school, Ally goes to the
diner that her mom works at. She
always goes to the corner so that
she can work on her homework.
Shay and Jessica (bullies in her
class) come to the diner and they
act like they are Ally’s best
friends, and Ally’s mom believes
them. Ally’s mom forces Ally to
hang out with Shay and Jessica,
and when Ally’s mom is not
SLIDESMANIA.COM

focused on them, Shay and

Jessica start bullying Ally.

so Ally has a
long-term sub, Mr.
Daniels.

When Ally goes to school, she
finds out that she has a long
term sub for Mrs. Hall being
gone for her baby. Her new
teacher is Mr. Daniels. Ally is
not excited to have Mr. Daniels
as a teacher because she
thinks that Mr. Daniels will
just be another teacher that
makes fun of her because she
SLIDESMANIA.COM

cannot read or write.

04
Shay invites Ally to sit
with her and Jessica
at lunch just to make
fun of Ally.
SLIDESMANIA.COM
One of the following
days at school during
lunch, Shay invited Ally
to sit with her and
Jessica. Shay only did
this so that she would
have many chances
during lunch to bully
SLIDESMANIA.COM

and make fun of Ally.

05
While they are at the

starts to bully Albert,
and she convinces
Ally to do it too.
SLIDESMANIA.COM

(a boy in Ally’s class) at the

SLIDESMANIA.COM

fun of him with Shay.

Mr. Daniels has a
challenge for the
class to figure out,
and Ally is the only
one that can do it.
SLIDESMANIA.COM
Mr. Daniels has this thing in his class
where every Friday, he gives his class a
challenge or a riddle to solve. On one
particular Friday, the challenge was to
figure out what was in the box without
opening it. So you had to tilt the box,
move it in different directions, etc., to
figure out what was in the box. Ally was
the only one to figure out what was going
on in the last box. The item was taped to
the middle of the box, and it was
connected with string, so it only hit 2 of
the 4 sides of the inside of the box. Again,
Ally was the only one that was able to
SLIDESMANIA.COM

figure that out, and Mr. Daniels praised

her for that.
07
Mr. Daniels asks the
class a question, and
Ally is the only one
that understands the
question.
SLIDESMANIA.COM
Ally explains something to the
class correctly, and Mr.
Daniels praises her heavily for
that. She was very proud of
herself to figure out
something that no one else

understand, comprehend, and
answer the question that Mr.
SLIDESMANIA.COM

Daniels asked the class.

08
The class takes a field
trip, and Ally gets
made fun of again by
her classmates.
SLIDESMANIA.COM
Mr. Daniels' class was taking a field trip
to the Noah Webster house. The Noah
Webster house is sort of like Mahaffie
Farmstead here in KC. There is a bunch
of old-timey stuff, and she gets made
fun of by Shay when the tour guide told
everyone about an item (sort of like a
chalkboard) that they used to explain
stuff to the students. The teacher said
something like “This item is so easy to
use, anyone could use it!” Shay started
saying that if everyone could use it,
maybe Ally could too, because she is so
SLIDESMANIA.COM

dumb, and it is easy to use.

09
The class has a
election for class
president, and Shay
and Ally go up
against each other.
SLIDESMANIA.COM
Mr. Daniels has to have a

president against Shay.

During the election,
Shay and Ally give
their speeches, and
then the class votes.
SLIDESMANIA.COM
Ally and Shay go up against each
other in the election, and after
the speeches, their class has to
decide who to elect for
president. Before the speeches,
all of the students thought that
they were going to vote for
Shay. After the speeches, some
of the students still voted for
Shay, but more of them ended
up voting for Ally! Ally won the
SLIDESMANIA.COM

election, and Shay was so mad…

11
The class is learning
about famous people,
and they are asked to

Daniels asks the class to find
something in common with all of

dyslexia (same as Ally). Soon, all
of the people in Ally’s class start
to develop a love for Ally once
they find out that all of these
SLIDESMANIA.COM

other people who have dyslexia

things that she and Shay
SLIDESMANIA.COM

have done to her.

13
Jessica ends her
friendship with Shay
once and for all.
SLIDESMANIA.COM
Jessica ends her friendship
with Shay because Jessica felt
like she was not getting
anything out of her friendship

told him that she could not help

after one of Ally’s afternoon
sessions with Mr. Daniels,
Travis is picking her up, and
Ally asks Mr. Daniels if he could
SLIDESMANIA.COM

help Travis read as well.

bring a letter to the
