INTRODUCTION
Even a casual look at the world quickly reveals man’s condition in sin and the awful
plight in which this fallen condition has left him. Furthermore, it is a condition against which
mankind is completely helpless when left to his own human resources. In spite of all man’s
expectations of a new society in which he is able to bring about peace and prosperity, the world
remains shattered and torn by the ravages of sin locally, nationally, and internationally. The
Bible speaks, however, of God’s gracious plan to provide a solution to man’s problem. We call
it salvation or soteriology.
In Christianity, salvation (also called deliverance or redemption) is the "saving [of]
humans beings from and it's consequences which include death and separation from God". By
Christ death and resurrection, and the justification following this salvation.
Paul concepts of salvation in His writing as a whole refers to two important things
namely God's grace and love for sinners. God's grace and mercy are the basis on which Paul
urges the congregation to surrender themselves whole heartedly to God and the fulfillment of
His will.
Jesus said," that if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart
that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Sa topic na ito makikita natin ang pagkakaiba ng paniniwala patungkol sa kaligtasan ng mga
ibat ibang mga religious groups. Anu ang kaligtasan, at paanu maliligtas ang isang tao.

I. VIEWS & BELIEFS OF THE VARIUOS RELIGIOUS GROUP

A. Catholic

1
Grace and salvation remind Catholics that God is all powerful and all loving and that he is
prepared to sacrifice his only son for the good of humanity.
These concepts create hope for Catholics as they believe they will be united with God in
Heaven and have an eternal afterlife.
Grace and salvation are linked to ideas of reconciliation. Jesus’ presence on Earth and
consequent death allowed God and humanity to be reconciled. Therefore, Christians believe
humans have a duty to also try to reconcile with each other.

Salvation is the idea that humans can be saved from sin through faith in Jesus. The grace of
God refers to all the blessings in life that are given by God.

B. Mormons
Salvation
In the doctrine of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the terms “saved” and
“salvation” have various meanings. As used in Romans 10:9–10, the words “saved” and
“salvation” signify a covenant relationship with Jesus Christ. Through this covenant
relationship, followers of Christ are assured salvation from the eternal consequences of sin if
they are obedient. “Salvation” and “saved” are also used in the scriptures in other contexts with
several different meanings.

If someone were to ask if another person had been saved, the answer would depend on the
sense in which the word is used. The answer might be “Yes” or perhaps it might be “Yes, but
with conditions.” The following explanations outline six different meanings of the word salvation.

Salvation from Physical Death. All people eventually die. But through the Atonement and
Resurrection of Jesus Christ, all people will be resurrected—saved from physical death. Paul
testified, “As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive” (1 Corinthians 15:22). In
this sense, everyone is saved, regardless of choices made during this life. This is a free gift
from the Savior to all human beings.

Salvation from Sin. To be cleansed from sin through the Savior’s Atonement, an individual must
exercise faith in Jesus Christ, repent, be baptized, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (see
Acts 2:37–38). Those who have been baptized and have received the Holy Ghost through the
proper priesthood authority have been conditionally saved from sin. In this sense, salvation is
conditional, depending on an individual’s continuing in faithfulness, or enduring to the end in
keeping the commandments of God (see 2 Peter 2:20–22).

2
Individuals cannot be saved in their sins; they cannot receive unconditional salvation simply by
declaring a belief in Christ with the understanding that they will inevitably commit sins
throughout the rest of their lives (see Alma 11:36–37). However, through the grace of God, all
can be saved from their sins (see 2 Nephi 25:23; Helaman 5:10–11) as they repent and follow
Jesus Christ.

Being Born Again. The principle of spiritual rebirth appears frequently in the scriptures. The
New Testament contains Jesus’s teaching that everyone must be “born again” and that those
who are not “born of water and of the Spirit … cannot enter into the kingdom of God” (John
3:5). This teaching is affirmed in the Book of Mormon: “All mankind, yea, men and women, all
nations, kindreds, tongues and people, must be born again; yea, born of God, changed from
their carnal and fallen state, to a state of righteousness, being redeemed of God, becoming his
sons and daughters; and thus they become new creatures; and unless they do this, they can in
nowise inherit the kingdom of God” (Mosiah 27:25–26).

This rebirth occurs as individuals are baptized and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. It comes
as a result of a willingness “to enter into a covenant with our God to do his will, and to be
obedient to his commandments in all things that he shall command us, all the remainder of our
days” (Mosiah 5:5). Through this process, their “hearts are changed through faith on his name;
therefore, [they] are born of him” (Mosiah 5:7). All who have truly repented, been baptized,
have received the gift of the Holy Ghost, have made the covenant to take upon themselves the
name of Jesus Christ, and have felt His influence in their lives, can say that they have been
born again. That rebirth can be renewed each Sabbath when they partake of the sacrament.

Salvation from Ignorance. Many people live in a state of darkness, not knowing the light of the
restored gospel. They are “only kept from the truth because they know not where to find it”
(Doctrine and Covenants 123:12). Those who have a knowledge of God the Father, Jesus
Christ, the purpose of life, the plan of salvation, and their eternal potential are saved from this
condition. They follow the Savior, who declared, “I am the light of the world: he that followeth
me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” (John 8:12).

Salvation from the Second Death. The scriptures sometimes speak of salvation from the
second death. The second death is the final spiritual death—being cut off from righteousness
and denied a place in any kingdom of glory. This second death will not come until the Final

3
Judgment, and it will come to only a few. Almost every person who has ever lived on the earth
is assured salvation from the second death.

Eternal Life, or Exaltation. In the scriptures, the words saved and salvation often refer to eternal
life, or exaltation (see Abraham 2:11). Eternal life is to know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ
and dwell with Them forever—to inherit a place in the highest degree of the celestial kingdom
(see John 17:3; Doctrine and Covenants 131:1–4; 132:21–24). This exaltation requires that
men receive the Melchizedek Priesthood, and that all Church members make and keep sacred
covenants in the temple, including the covenant of eternal marriage. If the word salvation is
used in this sense, no one is saved in mortality. That glorious gift comes only after the Final
Judgment.

C. Iglesia ni Cristo
* The INC requires church membership for salvation.
The INC teaches that church membership is required for salvation. By this, they do not mean
that by merely trusting in Christ does one become part of his body. They mean that one must
be registered with the human administration of their church.
It is true that one must be in the body of Christ to be saved, but that body of Christ is not
defined by a human administration. It is the collection of all who believe. Additionally,
membership in a local church is something we are commanded to do, but nowhere in the Bible
is called a requirement of salvation.
* Today is the day to be saved.
The fact of the matter is, as the INC says, today is the day to be saved. There is nothing that
should prevent anyone from receiving salvation immediately upon putting their faith in Christ.
They believe that today is the day to start working on being saved. INC members should
repent and believe the true gospel.

D. Islam
Islam teaches us that is atttainnable through the worship of God alone. A person must believe
in God and follow his commandment. This is the same message taught by all the prophets
including Moisses and Jesus. There in only one worthy of worship. One God alone, without
partners, sons and daughters. Salvation and thus eternal happiness can be achieved by the
sincere worship.

4
E. Oneness
The person of the Father. The oneness position makes no sense. If baptism is essential for
salvation, then what happens to someone who repents of sin, accepts Jesus as Savior,…
Oneness Pentecostal theology states that baptism is necessary for salvation. Baptism is not
necessary for salvation , the gospel saves.

II. BIBLICAL VIEWS

The salvation or soteria in the Greek language is God gift to man.He gave it willingly to
us to save us from the death penalty.
There are many religious that have different beliefs about how people can be saved, where it is
found and who will save us?and does man need salvation?
There are religions that have the same belief about salvation, but there are also
religions that have their beliefs, if you become a member of them you are saved. There are
also those who have not been baptized and are not yet saved.
But what is the truth about the Bible say about it ?

5
According to the book of Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and no one has reached,
so no one is saved, all people are destined to be punished by death and who will judge death?
None other than God the Father in heaven.
The question is,why are we still alive today? Why are there still so many people in the world?
There are still many wicked people? Why are there still many who turn away from God?
What is God asking for in return? What can man do or did man do to escape God's
punishment? Did man do something or not ? If in the, What is it? Did God accept the payment
man?
According to the book of John 3:17 "God sent his son , not to judge the world with
punishment, but to save it through him".Through faith in the Lord Jesus and acceptance as the
Lord saviour , people are will be from the death penalty, the judgment of God the Father in the
heaven. Only Jesus Christ, deserve to pay for the sins of people ,his life was sacrificed for the
sinners.
Because man is inherently evil,God the father did not want the animal sacrifices of the
people before to be used as a ransom for for the sins of mankind.
People were saved because of God's grace, not because they were kind and good people ,not
because there were churchgoers and handworking, good or smart . It was because of God's
mercy and his love for us , so we are now free from God's punishment.
Thank you for the life of the Lord Jesus and we are now safe

III. CONCLUSION

In each religion, we have different beliefs about salvation. We have rules that we follow in our
own religion. We can say that they are safe when they truly accept Jesus as the savior of their
lives. different views on life. The important thing is that we repent to the Lord of our sins and
accept him as our savior
