Tribe

The Speakers

Class

Primal Bender

Role

Tank / Environmental Control

Appearance

Thorne is a massive Gravari standing 7'5", with stone-gray skin and a hulking frame. His body is

covered in faint, natural markings and ridges that resemble weathered rock. He has a thick, braided

beard and intense eyes, and often wears furs and leather with a distinct tribal design. His armor

includes dark, jagged plates and a wolf pelt draped across his shoulders. His signature weapon is a

massive double-bladed axe, worn and battle-tested.

Personality

Thorne is stoic and intimidating, but deeply in tune with nature and his surroundings. Though he

rarely speaks, his presence commands respect. He is slow to anger but unstoppable when

provoked. He has a soft side that he only shows to those he trusts--and to small animals.

Background
Thorne hails from the Speakers, a nomadic Gravari tribe who believe in listening to the land and

responding with action, not words. They are known for their silence and reverence for the natural

world. Thorne left his tribe to explore the world, guided by instinct. He met Nyla during one of her

herbal excursions, and their mutual understanding of nature forged an immediate bond. She later

vouched for him to the group, and he joined soon after.

Class Description

Primal Bender: A grounded barbarian-type class that channels the raw, instinctive power of nature.

Thorne cannot cast spells or summon elementals, but he can manipulate natural elements already

present in the environment. If there is fire, he can bend it. If they are in a forest, he can move roots

or trees. If they are in a desert, he can stir sandstorms. His power is terrain-based and physical, not

magical--drawing from presence, instinct, and primal connection.

Fighting Style

Thorne fights with a slow, deliberate brutality. His strength is immense, and his control over the

environment adds utility and unpredictability. He is the immovable wall of the group, often serving as

their frontline tank and protector.

Dynamic Within Group

- Ren: Thorne respects Ren's leadership and rhythm, and silently supports him. Their bond is rooted

in mutual understanding during battle.

- Nyla: Shares the deepest bond with Nyla due to their mutual connection with nature. She is the

only one Thorne speaks to more than a few words at a time.

- Vael: Vael finds Thorne amusing in a 'this guy could kill me with a blink' way. They don't talk much,

but Vael appreciates his muscle.

- Lira: Lira is quietly wary of Thorne, but over time has grown to trust him as a dependable presence.

He often backs her up silently.
