A Wanderer Robot
BY DESIGN TEAM 4

Ilexia is a robot unlike any other. She exists in a world where humans and robots
coexist, a world that thrives in the vast expanse of the galaxy. Her mission is a
special one: she travels across the galaxy to plant seeds of freedom that can create
life on empty planets.

Ilexia begins her journey in her small spaceship. She looks at the tiny seeds in her
metal hand. These seeds contain a special kind of life - a life that takes the form of
butterflies. Butterflies symbolize freedom and hope, and it's Ilexia's dream to see
them fluttering on every planet she visits.
She travels through space, from one planet to another. Each journey takes time, but
Ilexia doesn't mind. She lands on barren planets, where there is no sign of life.
There, she plants the seeds and waits. After some time, the seeds burst open. Tiny
butterflies come out, their wings glittering under the alien suns.

Ilexia watches as the butterflies flutter around, their wings creating a beautiful
dance in the sky. It brings color and life to the lifeless planets. She feels a sense of
satisfaction. Even though she is a robot and does not have feelings in the way
humans do, she appreciates the beauty of this moment.

Ilexia's journey is long and often lonely. But she continues to travel from one planet
to another, planting seeds and creating life. She sees planets transform from barren
lands to habitats bustling with beautiful butterflies.

Despite being a robot, Ilexia plays an integral role in the cycle of life. She brings
beauty, hope, and life to places where none exist. Through her travels and actions,
she proves that even in the vast emptiness of space, life finds a way. And in the
form of fluttering butterflies, freedom spreads across the galaxy.

Task 2: Write your own story!

Select one of the following writing prompts and then write your own short story
using the simple future tense.

Your story must be at least 100 words long. Make sure to explore different
scenarios you predict for the future, using “will” consistently throughout the story.

Writing Prompts:

1. In 2100, the Earth will become uninhabitable.

2. In 2200, most people will become cyborgs.
3. In 2300, time travel will be invented.
4. In 2400, humans will gain the ability to live forever.
5. In the 25th century, the Earth will become uninhabitable.
Example:

Outer Galaxy

In 2100, after ignoring all possible warnings, Earth will become uninhabitable and in
order to survive, humans will have to colonize other worlds and galaxies.A year
before the world ends, Max and Laura, the first cyber-enhanced individuals in
history, will have to lead the first human-made expedition to the nearest galaxy:
AG5. Will they be able to find a planet where humans may live and the species might
have a chance to continue? Or will this event lead to the end of civilization and the
human race? We'll have to tell Max's story to answer this and many more
world-threatening questions.
