Indian Trade:
As of 2023, India has traded almost 63 Billion USD, a positive growth of 1.23%. India is the 7th larges provider of
commercial services, accounting to 4.6% of the world’s trade. India’s largest trade partner is China, with a trade
volume of over 118 billion USD. India’s highest export product is petroleum and other petrol products, with 15.5
Billion USD value, followed by gems and jewellery, with 10.2 Billion USD value.
Indian TNCs:
Many TNCs have Indian bases due to its advantages as a developing company with a growing GDP and many natural
resources. These TNCs have also been shaping Indian trade; for example, a TNC in India is vodafone, and since
vodafone has been basing itself in India, the export of phones has gone up, rising by a massive 43%. Also, other TNCs
in India produce more then just one resource, which helps India’s economy exponentially. For example, TATA group
produces many resources and rakes a large amount of income from their smaller companies, such as steel, motors,
hotels via the Taj Group, communications, energy and many more. These all contribute to India’s GDP
Natural Indian Resources:
India have many natural resources such as coal, which they have 4th largest reserve of in the world and
limestone which is used a lot in buildings in India. They are also in supply in lots of petroleum. However, India
are running the risk on relying too much on fossil fuels, especially as the world looks to switch to a more
sustainable. Even though they have alliances with countries with sustainable resources like China, they still
need to find a way to reduce relaince on fossil fuels. They also have a large supply of diamonds owing to their
many diamond mines. This is shown by the infamous Kohinoor diamond, which now sits in the crown jewels.
Other resources include iron and natural gas.
Economy:
India are one of the world’s most rapidly developing economies, with a wide array of profits coming in from
different areas of income. Their GDP is 3.5 trillion USD and their GDP per capita is 2484.85 USD. India’s highest
revenue state is Maharahstra due to it being the financial capital of India, with all major banks and financial
institutions being based in the city. Its GDP is 42 .67 crores. The second highest state is Tamil Nadu, because of
its distinguished entrepreneurial opportunities. It is also developing lots of IT opportunities and companies
which is a very popular career path in India. India’s highest income city is Mumbai due to it being the home of
the national and Bombay stock exchange, the latter undergoing the largest stock exchange in India’s History.
Mumbai has a GDP of 310 billion USD.
Military:
India has one of the world’s strongest militaries, being the second largest military force and haveing the largest
amount of voluntary soldiers. India has over 1.3 million active soldiers. The Indian army is split into three
factions, the Indian navy, the Indian army and the Indian air force. Each of these have elite special task forces,
the most notable being the Navy MARCOS, who specialized in counter terrorism and amphibious warfare.
Population:
India has the largest population with over 1.4 billion people living there. Most of India’s population is made up
of 15 - 24 years of age, which is the younger workers or school students. The most populous city in India is New
Delhi, with a population of over 33 million people. However, the highest population density state is Mumbia,
with 76. 79 people per square mile. India’s highest population state is Uttar pradesh with almost 200 million
people whereas the highest population density state is Delhi with 11320 people per square mile.
Political Alliances:
India are part of many alliences such as BRICS, which is Brazil, India, Russia, China and south africa. They are
also part of the United Nations and G20. Although India is part of BRICS alongside China, there have been some
tensions in the past between them. However, the Himalayas acts as a good blockade between them. The current
political party leading India is the BJP, and Narendra Modi is prime minister. The BJP party have been in power
for a long time but many of their ideals are disliked by south indians, meaning the BJP get the majority of their
votes from the North of India
Saudi Arabia
Population:
Saudi Arabia have a population of 36.95 million people, a 3 percent increase from last year. As of now, Saudi
Arabia have a working class population of 15.6 million. Saudi arabia are seeing a steady increase of 7 million
more people per decade. Comapared to other countries Saudi Arabia have a much higher growth rate, but the
rate has been violently fluctuating since Covid and has been varying from 2 to 3 percent, still higher than most
of the other competing countries
Economics and Trade:
Saudi Arabia’s GDP is 1.07 trillion USD, and per capita it is 32. 1k [Link] primary source of income is natural
resources such as oil and other valuable materials. Their total imports cost up to 169 billion USD and their
exports total up to 362 billion USD. They mostly export to China and India, gaining 68 billion USD and 46.2
billion USD respectively and get imports from China and the UAE. The majority of their income comes from
petroleum products such as plastic, and also from chemicals, fertilisers and electrical equipment.
Military:
Saudi Arabia is ranked 24th out of the 145 countries submitted for the global firepower review
The Royal Saudi Armed Forces have the sixth highest defence budget, meaing a large portion of their
money is directed towards the protection of their country. As of 2025 there are over 350,000 military
personnel active in Saudi Arabia and across the globe and they have 1,105 total aircraft, 1485 combat
tanks, 7142 infantry vehicles and 1,100 artilleries.
Physical Geography:
Saudi Arabia is surrounded by 7 countries: Yemen, Oman, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar and UAE. The area of the
county is 2,200,000 square km. Saudi Arabia is also surrounded by the the Arabian Gulf, the Red sea and the
Gulf of Aqaba. The whole border of Saudi Arabia is around 6,751km long, and it also has many deserts which
span across many large land trade routes. It also has many natural resources, the most notable being oil, but
also gold, copper, iron ore which are exported for billions.
Politics:
Saudi Arabia’s king is also the country’s prime minister, and he can appoint a 150-member Consultative
Assembly, who can give advice to the king/prime minister. Most positions in government are controlled by
royals. Saudi Arabia has a mutual strong relationship with the USA, which the USA have relied heavily on in the
past, but this relationship is not particularly stable. Saudi Arabia has strong influence over neighbouring
countries, due to lending financial support, resources and political help to them. However, Saudi Arabia has not
always been successful in its endeavours. Saudi Arabia are also a member of BRICS, which isn’t too out of the
ordinary due to the number of developing countries joing BRICS.
