CONCLUSION
In conclusion, this study has explored the complex and multifaceted impact of
social media on interpersonal communication. The results suggest that social
media has both positive and negative effects on relationships, communication
styles, and emotional intelligence. While social media provides a platform for
people to connect with others, maintain relationships, and form new ones,
excessive social media usage can lead to feelings of isolation, decreased
emotional intelligence, and lower empathy. These findings highlight the
importance of maintaining a balance between online and offline communication,
and being mindful of how social media usage can impact our relationships and
mental health.

and offline communication, and being mindful of how social media usage can
impact our relationships and mental health.
The implications of this study are far-reaching, and suggest that individuals,
communities, and organizations must take a proactive approach to promoting
healthy social media habits and fostering meaningful, face-to-face
communication. By doing so, we can harness the benefits of social media while
minimizing its negative effects, and cultivate stronger, more empathetic
relationships in our personal and professional lives.
Future research should continue to explore the impact of social media on
interpersonal communication, with a particular focus on developing strategies
for promoting healthy social media habits and mitigating the negative effects of
excessive social media usage. Ultimately, this study serves as a reminder that
communication is a fundamental human need, and that fostering meaningful,
face-to-face relationships is essential for building strong, resilient communities.
