And for boys Leolance can you count Ma’am the total of boys that are
the present boys today. present today is 8

If the total of our class is 43 how many

are presents and absent today let’s add 25+8= 33
first the overall present today, Britney
can you add the overall present today.

If the total of present today is 33, How 33-43=10

many are absent today?

It’s good to hear that less the absent

today.

Please all stand again.

For us to be alive in this class, We
will be doing an energizer! we will be
going to our song entitled “I Love
Math” are you ready class? Yes, ma’am.

Did you enjoy our energizer? Yes, ma’am.

Please all be seated.

Before we start our discussion, we

have a classroom rules, everyone read

Do you understand our classroom
rules? Yes, ma’am.

B. Reviewing of Let’s have a recap about our discussion

Previous Lesson or in previous lesson.
Presenting the New
Lesson Who among you can still remember our
previous lesson? It’s about irregular, regular, and
Louissa congruent polygon.

Very good! what is the difference

between regular and irregular polygon?
Mrytle Regular polygon has equal side
and equal angles.
Great! How about the irregular?
William Irregular has not equal sides and
angles ma’am.
Very well said! How about the
congruent?
Leigh Congruent has same size and
same shape ma’am.
Very good! I have some cut shapes here
all you need to do is identify whether
it’s regular or irregular.

How many sides this shape have?

Pameboy 12 ma’am.

Excellent! How about the angle?

Vanea 8 ma’am.

Great! What do you call to the polygon

that have 12 sides?
Jeslyn Mae Dodecagon ma’am.

Very good! what type of polygon this

shape?
Joessa Mae Irregular ma’am.

Why this shape is irregular?

Because their angles are not
equal.
Good job! how about this shape?

What polygon is this?

Marcella Triangle ma’am.
Very good! Is it regular or irregular?
Kendra Irregular ma’am.
Good job!
Let’s give yourself a Very Good clap.
I’m glad that you still remember our
previous lesson. 1,2,3 1,2,3 Very good
C. Establishing a Before we proceed to our new lesson,
Purpose for the Lesson everyone please read our learning
objectives. OBJECTIVES
At the end of 45 minutes
lesson, the learners will be
able to:
a. Identify the terms related to
a sequence
b. Formulate a rule in finding
the next term in a
sequence; and
c. Find the next term in a
sequence
Thank you, class.

D. Presenting Before we procced to our new lesson

examples/Instances of the let’s have an exciting activity.
Lessons
I will divide you into 3 groups all you
need to do is guess what the next
number is. The first group that guess the
next number will get a points. Guess Me!

1. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, __.
2. 4, 8, 16, 32, __.
3. 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, __.

5. 96

Yes ma’am.
Did you enjoy our activity?
E. Discussing New The activity that we did is connected to
concepts and our new lesson.
practicing New Skills
#1 While doing the guess missing term
what did you observe on the activity?
Vanea It use multiplication and addition
ma’am.
Correct! To find the missing term we
need to use multiplication or addition.

The multiplication and addition are

connected to our new topic. Let’s
discuss the sequence, each part, and
how can the sequence form.

First let’s define the pattern.

Patterns are repetitive sequences and
can be found in nature, shapes, events,
sets of numbers and almost everywhere
you care to look.

This an example of pattern in shapes.

Give me an example of pattern in
shapes?
Sofia luissa

Very good! How about the pattern in

number?
Keisha 1,2,3,4,5 ma’am

Great! Just like what we did in the

activity a while ago that’s an example of
pattern in number.

2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12
Now that we learn about the pattern
let’s proceed to the term.

Observe the numbers in the pattern

identify where is the term?
Jenelyn The numbers ma’am.

Great! The numbers are we called a

term.
How about the rule? What is rule?
Marzo Rule is a procedure that a count
must follow. A way to find the
value of each term.
Thank you! Marzo.
Rule is important to sequence
because without rule we can’t
Why rule is important in sequence? create a sequence ma’am.
Joessa

Very well said, Joessa! Rule is

important to sequence to find the
missing term or to know what the next
number is.

We have two steps in finding the Observe the sequence to formulate

missing term. What is the first step? a rule that can be used to find the
Maycee missing terms.

Thank you, Maycee.

If we have a pattern 2, 5, 8, ____. What

is the missing term? Observe the
sequence what rule we can use to find Addition ma’am.
the missing term?
Fatima

Very good! what number we can add to Three ma’am.

2 that result number 5?
Kousei

Excellent! If 2+3= 5 and 5+3= 8, what Eleven ma’am

is the answer if we add the 8+3=?
Britney

Very good! how about if we have a

F. Discussing New Let’s proceed to your group activity
Concepts and entitled “Find Me!”. I will divide you
Practicing New Skills #2 into 4 groups. Each group have
assigning task to do Formulate the rule
and find the missing term after that
Present your work in front on how you
formulate the rule and finding the
missing term.

But before we start Group 1 kindly read

the direction of the activity. Direction: Formulate a rule in
finding the next term in a
sequence.
Group 1.
3, 6, 12, 24, 48, ___.

Group 2.
4, 8, 16, 32, 64, ___.

Group 3.
5, 7, 9, 11, 13, ____, ____.

Group 4.
5, 11, 23, 47, ____.

You have 10 minutes to do your task.

G. Developing Mastery Now we will have an individual
(Leads to Formative activity.
Assessment) Everyone, please read the direction
Direction: Find the missing term/
s in the sequence.

1).7, 14, 21, 28, 35, ___.

H. Finding Practical What do you think why the polygons is

Applications of important to our daily life?
Concepts and Skills in Sofia louisa Because it gives us an idea to
Daily Living create a beautiful structure.

Very good! what else?

Safara It provides some things in world
that human needs.

Great job! how we can use polygons in

our daily living?
Britney By making some designs that we
need to apply in school activity
like drawing.

Very good! we can use polygons to be

an innovative or creative.

Give yourself a Very Good clap. 1,2,3 1,2,3 very, very, good.

I. Making To further understand our discussion

Generalizations and let’s recall the lesson what is polygon?
Abstractions about the Leangel Polygon Is a closed plane figure
Lessons made up of several line segments
that are joined together.

Very good! why is angle is important to

polygon?
Sofia Angle is one of the instruments to
make a polygon if we don’t have
angle, we cannot create polygon.
Excellent! Angle is the one that connect
the two lines to create polygon.

Very good! now that you understand our

topic let’s have your short quiz.
