MEDICAL AND DENTAL MISSION 2024

I. RATIONALE

Healthcare remains a fundamental right that many communities struggle to access,


particularly in rural or underserved areas. A medical and dental mission is an outreach initiative
aimed at addressing this gap, providing essential healthcare services, promoting health education,
and fostering preventive care. By delivering free and accessible services, the mission seeks to
improve the quality of life and empower individuals with knowledge for maintaining their well-
being.

II. OBJECTIVES
1. General Objective:
- To provide comprehensive medical and dental services to underserved communities.
2. Specific Objectives:
- To diagnose and treat common medical and dental conditions.
- To promote preventive healthcare practices, including dental hygiene, nutrition, and
vaccination awareness.
- To provide health education tailored to the specific needs of the community.
- To create a sustainable framework for follow-up and long-term health improvements.

III. PARTICIPANTS
1. Core Team:
- Doctors
- Dentists
- Nurses and paramedics
- Pharmacists
2. Community Volunteers:
- Barangay health workers
- Student volunteers (medical and dental students)
3. Beneficiaries:
- Residents of the community, prioritizing children, elderly individuals, and pregnant women.

V. BUDGETARY REQUIREMENTS

An amount of Ten Thousand Pesos (₱10,000), chargeable to SK funds, will be


allocated to cover the following expenses:

Snacks 70 pax P 3,000

VI. RESPONSIBILITY

The conduct of the activity shall be the responsibility of the Sangguinang Kabataan.
