"Trouvez les questions"

1. Qui – To ask about a person (subject or object).


Example: Qui est ton professeur ? (Who is your teacher?)

2. Que / Qu' – To ask about something, typically the direct object of the sentence.
Example: Que fais-tu ce soir ? (What are you doing tonight?)

3. Quel / Quelle / Quels / Quelles – To ask about a specific thing or person (used with a
noun).
Example: Quelle est ta couleur préférée ? (What is your favorite color?)
Quels films aimes-tu ? (Which movies do you like?)

4. Où – To ask about a place or location.


Example: Où vas-tu ? (Where are you going?)

5. Comment – To ask about the manner or way of something.


Example: Comment va ta famille ? (How is your family?)

6. Quand – To ask about time.


Example: Quand part le train ? (When does the train leave?)

7. Pourquoi – To ask about the reason or cause.


Example: Pourquoi étudies-tu le français ? (Why do you study French?)

8. Combien – To ask about quantity or number.


Example: Combien de livres as-tu ? (How many books do you have?)

Example of solving "Trouvez les questions":

If the sentence you are given is:


Elle mange une pomme

-Elle mange une pomme ?(INTONATION).


-Est-ce-qu'elle mange une pomme? (EST-CE-QUE)
-Mange-t-elle une pomme ? (INVERSION)

The question would be:


Que mange-t-elle ? (What is she eating?)
Or if the sentence is:
Ils vont à Paris demain
The question would be:
Où vont-ils demain ? (Where are they going tomorrow?)
