ORDER:-
In the reference 3rd read above, orders have been issued enhancing the
upper age limit prescribed for various uniform posts in the relevant rules by two
(2) years for uniformed services recruitment to be notified by the A.P. Public
Service Commission and other recruiting agencies up to 30.09.2024. The age
concession over and above the upper age limit was also allowed to the
categories, as provided under Rule 12 of the A.P. State & Subordinate Service
Rules, 1996.
2. The Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission, Vijayawada in
the reference 4th read above has brought the above information to the notice of
the Government for giving fresh notifications.
3. Government after careful examination of the matter have decided to raise
the upper age limit prescribed for various uniform posts in the relevant rules by
two (2) years for uniformed services recruitment to be notified by the AP Public
Service Commission and other recruiting agencies and this shall be valid up to
30.09.2025 and issue an adhoc rule, accordingly.
4. The following Notification shall be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette:-
NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the
Constitution of India and of all other powers hereunto enabling, the Governor of
Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following Adhoc Rule:-
ADHOC RULE
Not withstanding anything contained in the Andhra Pradesh State &
Subordinate Service Rules, 1996 or Special Rules or Adhoc Rules for any State
Service or Subordinate Service, the upper age limit prescribed for uniform posts in
relevant rules is enhanced by two (2) years for recruitment of uniformed services

to be notified by the A.P. Public Service Commission and other recruiting
agencies. This is valid up to 30.09.2025. The age concession over and above
the upper age limit shall also be allowed to the categories, as provided under
Rule 12 of the A.P. State & Subordinate Service Rules, 1996.
