The Great Farmyard Adventure
A herd of cows, so big and bold,
Mooed together in the cold.
They saw a flock of chickens near,
Clucking, scratching without fear.
A gaggle of geese began to honk,
Waddling around the pond to a funk.
The cows and chickens had a plan,
To help the sounder of pigs in the sand.
The pigs were lost, they couldn’t find,
The way back to their muddy kind.
The murder of crows flew high above,
Watching the farm with a squawk and shove.
"Don’t worry, pigs, we’ll lead the way,
Through fields and barns where you can play!"
The geese flapped, the chickens ran,
The cows mooed loud as they began.
They crossed the farm with cheer and sound,
Until the pigs’ home could be found.
The sounder oinked and ran with glee,
Thanks to their friends, now wild and free.
The animals danced under the moon,
Singing a farmyard, joyful tune.
For every group, both large and small,
Together they made the best of it all!
The end.
*just a quick trivia, as you have observed on the first verse, third line, flock is used to describe a group of
chickens gathered together. On some contexts, you may find brood used to describe a group of chicken
gathered together. Always remember that when you use the word flock, you are referring to random
chickens gathered in one place. If you use brood, you are referring to a group of chicken from the same
mother gathered together in one place.
