Computer Assignment

1. Research and Citation

• Open Microsoft Word and create a new document.


• Search the internet for a brief history of a Tanzania.
• Copy and paste a short paragraph from your research into the document, but rephrase it in
your own words (do not copy exactly).
• Below the paragraph, paste the link to the website you used as a source.
• Save the document as “History of Tanzania”.

2. Text Formatting Challenge

• Open a new Word document.


• Write a short poem or a quote that inspires you (at least 3 lines).
• Change the font style of each line to a different one (Times New Roman)
• Make the most important word in each line bold and change its color.
• Save the document as “StyledText”.

3. Creating an Organized Table

• Open Microsoft Word and insert a table with 4 columns and 5 rows.
• Label the columns as "Name," "Age," "Favorite Subject," and "Dream Job".
• Fill in the table with imaginary details for five people.
• Change the background color of the header row to blue and make the text white and bold.
• Save the document as “CareerTable”.

4. Efficient File Management

• Create a folder on your desktop named “MyWork”.


• Inside MyWork, create two subfolders: “Research” and “Projects”.
• Move the files “FamousInventor” and “StyledText” to the “Research” folder.
• Copy the CareerTable file and paste it inside both Research and Projects folders.
• Rename the copied version in Projects as “CareerTable_Updated”.

5. Advanced Copy-Paste & Formatting Exercise

• Find any image related to technology on the internet (e.g., a computer, a smartphone).
• Copy and paste the image into a new Word document.
• Below the image, write two sentences describing what it is.
• Change the first sentence to italic and increase the font size of the second sentence to 16.
• Save the document as “TechImage”.
