Attendance policy
• Attendance is checked every session.
• Each absent session => minus 0.5 from the attendance score
• A no-show policy is applicable
 NO NEED to ask for the lecturer’s permission to be absent.
• Whether you arrive late or leave early, your attendance will
only be recorded if you attend more than 50% of class.

Bonuses
• Bonuses are given in class to students who actively and
effectively take part in the lessons.
• Not every student who volunteers to do the tasks or to share
their opinions is given a bonus.
• Class monitor is also given bonus at the end of the semester.
• Bonuses are calculated and added to the mid-term test score at
the end of the semester

Group presentation
• This assignment starts in Week 3 and ideally end in Week 11. There are 2
presentations every week.
• Length: 25-30 minutes
• General points of content are provided. The group is supposed to do the
according reading in the textbook and other reference materials and build the
presentation.
• The presentation must be built in PowerPoint.
• The group must bring their own laptop and other devices needed for the
presentation.
• All members of the group must present.
• Individual score will be given based on the group presentation score and the
peer evaluation report.

Presentation outline
1. Warm-up (to introduce the topic and get the
audience’s attention)
2. Main content (summarize and explain key terms and
present relevant points of the assigned topic with
illustrations and examples)
3. Review quiz (to check the audience’s understanding
of the presentation)
• Multiple choice questions
• True/False questions
• Gap filling questions
