Essay (1)
2. Is this a persuasive essay? Why? 3 LINES

It is not a persuasive essay. It is not pursuing me and even to the readers.

It is not a persuasive essay. This essay is an explanatory essay so it is explaining the topic about
how friendships change a person’s character and health. The author is not persuading the reader
about the topic.
Friendship is one of the most valuable aspects of life, providing emotional support,

personal growth, and a sense of belonging. True friends offer comfort during difficult

times and celebrate achievements together. They help each other navigate challenges,

share experiences, and build lasting memories. Whether in childhood, school, or

adulthood, friendships play a crucial role in shaping a person’s character and overall

well-being.

One of the key benefits of friendship is emotional support. Life can be filled with ups and

downs, and having a reliable friend can make challenges easier to handle. Friends provide

encouragement, listen to problems, and offer advice when needed. For example, when

someone is feeling stressed about school or work, a friend can provide reassurance and

motivation. This emotional connection helps reduce feelings of loneliness and anxiety,

creating a stronger sense of security and happiness.

In addition to emotional support, friendship also promotes personal growth. A good

a friend challenges and inspires others to improve themselves. Friends can motivate each

other to achieve goals, develop new skills, and make positive choices. For instance, a

a hardworking friend may influence others to be more disciplined and focused. Through

shared experiences, friends learn from one another and develop important qualities such

as kindness, patience, and responsibility.

Finally, friendship creates a sense of belonging and connection. Humans are social

beings, and meaningful relationships contribute to a fulfilling life. Friends provide

companionship and make life’s journey more enjoyable. Whether through deep

conversations, shared hobbies, or fun activities, friendships help people feel valued and

understood. This connection strengthens self-esteem and contributes to overall happiness.

In conclusion, friendship is essential for emotional support, personal growth, and a sense

of belonging. True friends help each other through difficult times, encourage

self-improvement, and create lasting memories. By nurturing strong and healthy

friendships, people can lead happier and more fulfilling lives.

It is a persuasive essay. In conclusion, the author is pursuing us to prevent cyber bullying

It is a persuasive essay. The author is persuading us that schools, people, and social media companies
should work on preventing cyber bullying. The author tells us about the negative effects and dangers
of cyber bullying.
In today’s digital age, cyberbullying has become a serious problem that affects millions of

people, especially young students. Unlike traditional bullying, cyberbullying happens online
Jang 3

through social media, messaging apps, and other digital platforms, making it difficult to escape.

Victims of cyberbullying often experience anxiety, depression, and even suicidal thoughts.

Schools, parents, and social media companies must take stronger action to prevent cyberbullying

and protect individuals from its harmful effects.

First, cyberbullying can cause severe emotional and psychological harm. Unlike face-to-face

bullying, which happens in specific places like schools or playgrounds, cyberbullying can follow

a person everywhere through their phone or computer. Hurtful messages, public shaming, and

online harassment can damage a person’s self-esteem and mental health. Many victims feel

helpless because the internet allows bullies to remain anonymous. Research shows that

cyberbullying can lead to increased stress, low self-confidence, and, in extreme cases, suicide.

Because of these devastating effects, it is crucial to take strong measures against cyberbullying.

Second, stronger laws and school policies are needed to prevent cyberbullying. While some

schools have anti-bullying programs, many do not address online harassment effectively. Schools

should educate students about responsible internet use and provide clear consequences for

cyberbullying behavior. Additionally, governments should enforce stricter laws to punish

cyberbullies and hold social media platforms accountable for allowing harmful content. If there

were stricter consequences for cyberbullying, fewer people would engage in it.

Finally, parents and social media companies must take responsibility for preventing

cyberbullying. Parents should monitor their children’s online activity, encourage open

conversations, and teach them how to handle negative interactions. Social media platforms

should also improve their reporting systems and remove harmful content more quickly. If

platforms take a stronger stance against cyberbullying, it will create a safer online environment

for everyone.
Jang 4

In conclusion, cyberbullying is a dangerous issue that can lead to serious emotional and

psychological harm. To stop it, schools, governments, parents, and social media companies must

work together to enforce strict rules, educate young people, and create a safer internet. Everyone

has a role in fighting cyberbullying, and by taking action, we can protect victims and promote

kindness online.
