Executive Summary
The Report "Financial Performance of The Acme Laboratories Ltd." opens up with an overall
introduction on how this topic comes to be and why it was chosen for the dissertation
program.
I have discussed about the overall financial analysis of five years, company’s description.
Then I have discussed some findings and recommendations of those findings. The ACME
Laboratories Limited is considered as one of the biggest pharmaceuticals company in
Bangladesh. ACME wants to bring a good change in Bangladesh by providing the mass with
life saving medicine for both human and animals. It was a great honor to work with one of
the best pharmaceuticals company of Bangladesh. The working environment was very
friendly and I was provided with plentiful help to adapt into the workplace. My report mainly
focuses on the financial analysis over the past five years. Also, the changes brought forth by
the financial situation of the company. The primary objective of this report is to evaluate the
financial performance of The ACME Laboratories Limited based on the external auditor’s
report. And understand the outcome of the evaluation of financial performance of ACME.
Also determine the effectiveness and weakness of ACME and lastly recommend the way of
improvement where needed.

There are some Herbal products. Herbal Division emerged as a section of Manufacturing
Department in the year 2003 and after meeting all regulatory requirements production and
marketing of Herbal items started in the same year. Some popular Herbal Products are
Honeybas, Gintonic, Basak etc.

There are mainly five types of Ratios for measuring financial performance of a company.
These are explaining below:-
Liquidity ratios measure the ability of the firm analysis of liquidity needs the preparation of
cash budgets and cash and fund flow statements. Cash is the basic input to keep the business
running on a continuous basis. A firm should ensure that it does not suffer from lack of
liquidity, and it does not have excess liquidity. Cash shortage will disrupt the firm operation
which result in a poor credit worthiness and surplus of cash or excessive of cash will simply
remain idle that means the firms fund will be unnecessarily tied up in current assets.
Therefore it is necessary to manage a proper balance between high liquidity and lack of
liquidity.
1. Current Ratio:- The current ratio is a liquidity ratio that measures whether or not a
firm has enough resources to meet its short-term obligations. It compares a firm's
current assets to its current liabilities, and is expressed as follows: The current ratio is
an indication of a firm's liquidity.

3. Quick Ratio:-The quick ratio is a measure of how well a company can meet its short-
term financial liabilities. Also known as the acid-test ratio, it can be calculated as

Activity Ratio highlights the activity and the operational efficiency of the business concern.
The better managements of asserts the larger the amount of sale. Activity ratio measures the
relationship between the sales and the assets. Turnover ratios are employed to evaluate the
efficiency with which the firm manages and utilize its asset. Their ratio indicates the speed
with which assets are brought convert as turn over into sale.
6. Average Payment Period:-The accounts payable age formula measures the number
of days that a company takes to pay its suppliers. The formula of average age of

ratio. Rate of return ratio reflects between profit and investment. The important rate of return
measures are rate of return on total assets and rate in equity

5.1 Recommendations
After explaining the major findings related to the financial performance analysis of the Acme
Laboratories Ltd, several recommendations are given below:-
Current ratio of the Acme Laboratories Ltd. in 2016 was better than other years. The
company had good amount of current assets in 2016. But the company had not good
enough current assets in 2019. The current ratio was 1.25 in 2017, 1.11 in 2018 and
1.05 in 2020.
Liquidity ratio in 2020 which was 0.46 which was better than other years’ liquidity
