B. Job Objective
To develop Marketing and Sales strategies by identifying market trends for
increasing sales and profitability by effective seasonal and in-season planning, as
well enhancing the store network
C. Primary responsibilities
Strategic and planning
Development of Marketing and Sales strategy and ensure translation and
alignment during the development and monitoring of functional strategy including
objectives, targets and initiatives.
Manage the consolidation and recommend the Marketing and Sales, B2B and e-
commerce budgets and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that
the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues.
Functional
Oversee all aspects of the brand identity associated with architecture,
communications, applications and advertisements, etc. in order to ensure that the
overall branding objectives are achieved and the right messages are
disseminated.
Assist the team in market research to gather detailed and in depth understanding
of market trends, customer preferences and competitor offerings.
Responsible for the formulation of the branding guidelines for all communication
material across the organization.
Develop customer interaction initiatives at various occasions to increase
consumption and brand presence.
Analyse market developments, competitive moves etc. so as to adjust the brand
strategy.
Send weekly updates of progress with regard to all marketing and sales status,
quality and consignments to the leadership team.
Monitor the media coverage for the brand and share with the
management/organization.
Manage all the communications for the Brand (ATL campaign, On-Line, PR) of the
group.
Responsible for the growth of the on-line presence for the brand through a
comprehensive on-line strategy and activation.
Define and ensure achievement of sales targets for stores, Institutional sales, e-
commerce; capture sales performance, issue sales reports and analysis and
provide them to the leadership.
Identify new opportunities for channels improvement or expansion on a frequent
basis.
Review reports on sales channels analysis (e.g., profitability, competitive
landscape, product and capabilities required) and develop required corrective
measures for improving sales.
Oversee the implementation of key development initiatives in order to ensure
high level of sales performance and customer satisfaction.
Internal process
Ensure development and deployment of standard operating procedures (SOPs) in
the department.
Achieve cost savings through implementation of process improvement initiatives.
Establish reporting & review mechanisms to track operational performance and
ensure course correction & corrective action, as appropriate.
Develop relationship, network with counterparts and other organizations in similar
industry to leverage leading practices & learning to improve departmental
processes.
People development
Take overall responsibility for people development initiatives and building up in-
house capabilities for the employees in the department.
Drive a performance driven culture in the team by timely monitoring, review of
performance parameters and feedback to the team members.
Contribute towards development of talent for the department by providing
subordinates with adequate exposure and growth opportunities.
Actively participate in HR initiatives to drive overall engagement and motivation.
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to
time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented
in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer
and HR.

E. Minimum Requirements
Master’s degree in Business with preferably a
Level of Education:
specialization in Marketing and Sales
At least 16 years of Marketing and Sales experience
Experience in Jewellery business with not less than 8 years in a
position of similar responsibility.
