Q: Why do you think is Jose Rizal’s monument installed at the heart

of the City Plaza?

A: 1. ahm para nako kay naay mga monument ni Rizal kay it’s because
kanang par- ga symbolize man gud ang kanang momento ni Rizal kanang
patriotism? uhm diba tungod pud kay Rizal naa tay freedom so thats it para
ma recognize iyahang ambag sa Pilipinas.

Q: Why do you think is Jose Rizal considered our National Hero? Do

you know that there is no law declaring Rizal as one?

A: Na discuss na namo… Uhm for me lang ha? ay since na discuss na namo

ngano si Jose Rizal is our National hero it’s because uhm according daw sa
kanang choice sa mga Pinoy, but ang, according to Americans uhm dili daw
pwede si Andres Bonifacio kay warfreak daw siya which is dili daw siya role
model as a national hero, thats why Jose Rizal is our national hero because
uhm dapat daw ang national hero is kanang naay ambag daw sa kanang like
Philippines since gisulat ni rizal ang noli me tangere ug el filibusterismo
which is eye opener sa mga Pinoy, that is why si Jose Rizal is our national
hero. Ay ang RA? No, akoa rang nahibal-an is uhm si jose Rizal ay naay the
life and work of Jose Rizal beacuse gi declare siya nga RA diba? like naay

Q: Do you agree with Rizal being our national hero? Why or why not?

A: Ah for me na- tunga-tunga bay, tunga-tunga ko kay its because si Jose

Rizal- tungod gyud ni jose rizal pud nganong nakahibalo ko nga kanang, like
ginabu-buhat sa spaniards before bitaw? so kanang for me if ako bitaw ang
Filipina diba before? nga gina rape nila like gina abuse inana, so gaduha
mga bugok sa una? like dili niya gina treat as friend, so 50/50 ko ana.

Q: What more do you want to know about Jose Rizal?

A: Curios gyud kay- daghan kaykog gusto mahibal-an pero akoa gyud- ay- bi-
sa love guud ni Rizal bay-a- kanang giunsa niya pag handle da-di-diba
giunsa niya pag sacrifice gipili niya ang Philippines over her- iyahang mga
lovers bitaw before so-kana gyud like ma deepen bitaw kay kanang diba sa
atoang generation karun ay-ikonek sa generation bitaw karun nga kanang
ang- like sa mga tao o mga batan-on kay invested kay hala kanang sa love
bitaw like kana untang ma realize nila ba nga kanang si Rizal gali gi
sacrifice niya ang love niya para sa country so- kanang ang mga batan-on
unta bitaw ma realize nila nga dapat dili sad sila mag dali.

tao man gud mao ang gihunahuna na si Jose Rizal is the national hero so
hero.

Q: Why do you think is Jose Rizal considered our National Hero? Do

you know that there is no law declaring Rizal as one?

A: Uhmm.. kuan uhmm because kanang gitreat siya as national hero

because sa iyang contribution about sa books, sa stories nga iyang gisulat
sa nahitabo atung ilaha nga time so gicho-gichoose sya as national hero not
just tungod kay niapil siya sa mga war na pareha nila Andres Bonifacio but
because of sa gisulat niya kung unsa jud ang gakahitabo gyud ato nga time.

Q: Do you agree with Rizal being our national hero? Why or why not?

A: Para sa akoa kay dili, kay kanang unsa man pud iyahang nabuht nga iyaa
ra man tung own perspective ra iyaha ra tong own… point of view rato niya
sa nahitabo during that time which is ang dapat nga tagaan ug kanang
known ug tagaan ug tgaang name as national hero is pwede makachoose as
si Andres Bonifacio, si Juan Luna, sila other heroes kay sila man jud ang like
nakiglaban during the war which is Jose Rizal is naa ra siya sa like balay ba
nila or what nga gasulat ra siya’g book about sa nahitabo which is dili gyud
to siya mismo ang nakaencounter sa war.

Q: What more do you want to know about Jose Rizal?

fight for our freedom uh against uh he di- he fight for our freedom in- o- in
order us to have a- independence against the spaniards or other
mananakop. I think- ano- I think. I think that Jose Rizal considered our- as
our national hero because uhm he did- as I mention kanina he did a lot of
contributions in our independence he also fight for out a- for freedoms
against the spaniards, or other mananakop, ins- ah- aside from that he also
enlightened us- he- awaken the people in the past not only the people in the
past but also- us- to be- uhhh- to- to fight for our freedom- so.

Q: Do you agree with Rizal being our national hero? Why or why not?

A: I agree. He should be the national hero- because of what he did in the

past- because of what he did in the past- so as I mentioned kanina he did a
lot- no? he-his work and life symbolize that he has a big impact- not only in
the people in the past- not only in the history but also in- our generations-
so as a- as a- as far as I- as far i remem- as far as I remember- Andres
Bonifacio also was inspired in the Dr. Jose Rizal no- the- ahm- but- but- they
have a different ways to ano- to- to- to fight our independence.
