LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH GRADE II
I OBJECTIVES:
After this lesson the pupils will be able to:
a. Identify the different punctuation marks period, comma, exclamation mark, and question
mark
b. Recognize the fundamental use of punctuation marks in narrative and be able to employ
them in their own writing to make their stories more interesting
c. Appreciate the use of punctuation marks through in the stories, poem and simple
sentence

III PROCEDURE
Motivation:
The pupils will divide into four each group will pop up the balloon and guess the picture
inside it.

Discussing new concept practicing new skills 1
Begin the lesson by asking students if they know what punctuation marks are and if
they have seen them in sentences.
Show students flashcards with common punctuation marks (period, question mark,
exclamation mark and comma).
Discuss each punctuation mark's name and its basic function. For example, the
period stops a sentence, the question mark is used for asking questions, and the
exclamation mark shows excitement or surprise.

Ask students to identify the punctuation marks in each sentence and explain what
they think the marks do to the sentences.
Discuss the students' responses as a class and clarify any misconceptions.
Summarize the main points of the lesson: the names and basic functions of common
punctuation marks.

Write a sentence about your favorite animal and put the right punctuation at the end.

B. During Reading
In a hillside village, a shepherd boy watched over his sheep. He grew bored and
decided to prank the villagers by falsely shouting "Wolf!" twice, causing villagers to rush
to his aid. However, when a real wolf appeared the next day and he cried for help, the
villagers didn't believe him, resulting in the loss of his sheep. The boy learned the
consequences of his lies and vowed never to lie again.
