INTRODUCTION
First of all, I want to thank you for buying this e-book.
I put my all into this. I hope you enjoy and most importantly
take action on what I'm about to teach you!
Less than 9 months ago, I didn't even have 500 followers on
@savetoinvest. I've now managed to grow it to 250K+ followers,
and on top of that I was able to grow multiple pages in the
same niche. I've managed to grow a following of 350K+
followers combined in less than 9 months.
This has given me an income stream that, as of right
now, makes me more money than my actual 9-5 job!
The fact that I knew very little about Instagram growth when I
started the @savetoinvest page just proves how simple it is, as
long as you're willing to learn and put in the work!
Everything in this e-book is a proven strategy that I've
personally used to make my account/s grow with hundreds
and sometimes thousands of followers every single day and all
while still working a full time 9-5 job!
I want you to understand that this isn't easy. This will require
your absolute focus and determination to pull off.
The strategies I teach are simple, but not easy.
Are you ready to learn how to grow and make that money?
Awesome, let's get right to it!
CHOOSING YOUR NICHE
This is the absolute first step you'll need to take. I suggest you pick
something that you have either knowledge and/or experience in.
This should also be something you enjoy talking about.
Some niches are more profitable than others and those are
evergreen niches. (A niche that will last forever and does not rely
on any trends.) It also needs to be a niche where people tend to
spend a lot of money emotionally.
Here are two examples:
FITNESS
Millions of people are spending lots of money to
lose weight, build muscle, and improve their health
to look & feel good about themselves.
This is something that will never go away, and since it's such a big
market it is easier to grow your niche page and easier to make
money as you'll have more advertisers coming your way, more
people to sell your products to, and more sub-niche markets to
break into. (We'll talk more about sub-niches on the next page.)
MONEY
People spend lots of money on courses, e-books, and private
coaching to learn how to make money, therefore, a great
way to make money is to teach others how to make money.
This is already a huge market. But if you ask me, this is just the
beginning. More and more people are starting to see the
unbelievable potential that there is in starting an online business
and because of that, I believe that niches in this specific market
are going to become extremely big in the next 5 years.
SUB-NICHE
Narrowing down into a sub-niche account can be very
lucrative as you will be able to:
1. Charge more money per promotion/shoutout/ad
or any other type of sponsorship.
2. Easily become a leading account and dominate the market,
since there's less competition.
3. Convert a larger amount of your followers into actual buyers
if you decide to sell your own digital/physical product.
4. Get more money per view from AdSense if you decide to
start a blog or Youtube channel, because advertisers will be
willing to spend more money to show ads to your specific
audience.
Cons:
1. You won't be able to grow as fast as you can with a broader
niche.
2. The cap is lowered. You won't be able to grow as far.
3. You will have fewer options to choose from. (Fewer affiliate
programs, fewer products to sell and fewer offers about
sponsorships/promotions.)
If you decide to go with a sub-niche, I suggest that you start
broad and then narrow down as you go. I started my page as
a general finance/business page but as I grew I went more
and more into online entrepreneurship & specifically into
making money with Instagram.
ACCOUNT OPTIMIZATION
USERNAME
You want to create a username that is short and catchy.
One that is easy to remember. You also want to
create a name that is related to what you're posting.
Try to avoid dots, lines and underlines if you can.
Make sure you use keywords. Believe it or not,
SEO is actually a thing on Instagram, too!
If you can't come up with a good name for best SEO
optimization, don't get discouraged. You can also use SEO
by typing in keywords in your "Name". To do this go to
"edit profile" and then you'll find it at the top, above your
username.
Here's an example of how a key-worded
name could look like on your profile.
(Right above your bio)
NOTE: For your actual username, pick a name that you
think you can stick with forever.
Of course you can change, but when and if you do, just be
aware that all your past tags, mentions and shout-outs will
disappear. You'll also create some confusion among your
less active followers since the majority of them don't
regularly watch your stories & posts.
BIO
Bio is one of the most important pillars to capture someone who
visits your profile for the very first time. In your bio, you want to
explain what your page is about and what someone could expect to
see on your page. Make it as short and detailed as possible.
You're only able to use 150 characters, so make them count.
You should also check other successful and fast-growing pages.
Look at their bio's and use it as inspiration for your own.
I have tested a lot of different bios, and what I've personally
seen the best results with is a step by step bio.
(below you can see an example of my bio on @savetoinvest)
Fluent text works too. Just make sure that it is short & to the point!
Small summary:
1) Make it look clean, avoid unnecessary emojis & words.
2) Look at how other fast-growing pages optimize their bio.
3) Make it as simple as you can.
4) Be on point.
LOGO
If you can create your own logo, great. It doesn't need
to be overly advanced as long as it's fairly recognizable.
Make sure your logo isn't blurry and that you have it
available with a transparent background so that you're
able to attach it to your posts.
If you can't create your own logo, consider getting one
done for you. You can go to [Link] or [Link]
and pay a couple of bucks to get a professional one.
ACCOUNT
You can choose to have a personal, creator or business
account. I have a business account and I suggest you get it too.
Here's why you should have a business account:
1) You're able to read insights. (Total amount of weekly reach and
impressions, your best performing posts, where your audience
comes from, how old they are, if they're male or female and
what days & hours of the week they're most active.)
2) You are able to use the swipe up story feature, which you
can't unless you're verified or have a business account.
3) You can run ads through Instagram. You can use this to
promote any product you might sell later.
You can't use any of the above with a personal account.
The creator account is still relatively new and doesn't really bring
you any additional features that are worth changing for.
HIGHLIGHTS
The reason why story highlights are great to use is that they are
great at amplifying your design and most importantly,
CAPTURE ATTENTION.
If you have good, high-quality story highlights, you'll have a
higher chance of turning that first time visitor into a follower.
The cover is important, but make sure the actual story inside the
highlight cover also looks good and contains a lot of value.
My story highlights.
What makes them good?
1) They ally to my page design.
2) They look good & are not blurry.
3) They give you an idea about what type of content I post.
FOLLOWING
You want to follow pages in your niche that have close to the same
amount of followers as you do. This will increase your chances to
pop up at "suggested for you".
I've done some research and I noticed that over 70% of my followers
also follow other pages in the "money-making niche". With that
being said, you definitely want to use this strategy. In the course of
time you will have gained a lot of new followers, passively.
CONTENT CREATION
COLORS
Before you start posting you should decide what type of color-style
you want to have on your page. I've noticed that having a
consistent one-color background is best for growth, especially
darker backgrounds. If you want some more flexibility, you
could switch between multiple background colors.
Here are 3 examples of what you can do:
MIXED ONE COLOR TWO COLORS
I suggest you stick with 3 main colors. If you take a look at my
page, you'll see that I have a black background, I use white as my
primary text color, and then I use yellow as a highlighting color.
Here's why I use the colors that I use:
Black background: Best for growth. (Easy to the eyes)
White text: Because it aligns with black.
Yellow headline / highlight text: To capture attention.
Extra tip: Make sure you save your color hex codes.
You don't want to be using 30 different shades of green...
CREATING INFOGRAPHICS
If you want to create infographics quickly and easily while
still producing high-quality content, then I suggest you use
canva. If you want to make more advanced content, then you
might want to learn how to use Photoshop, but since I use
canva, that's what I will talk about.
I create ALL of my content with canva. Even this e-book was made
completely with canva. If you want to create infographics as I do
on my page, canva is the easiest and cheapest way to do so.
I have the premium version which allows me to choose between
more icons/vectors & have more organization. You don't need the
premium version if you don't want it. There are free icons to use
with the free canva version and you can also get icons from
[Link].
I would still recommend that you get the premium version.
Look at it from an investment standpoint. The premium version
is $12.95 a month, which is money you'll easily get back over time.
I create all content on my computer. You can also use the canva
app on your phone. It works, I just personally don't like it.
If you decide to create them on your computer, make sure you're
using something like telegram, google drive or dropbox to send
them over to your phone. (This is to avoid blurriness.)
Some people like to send the content to themselves on facebook
messenger, don't do this as this will reduce the quality
quite significantly.
DESIGN
Instagram will always be a visual platform, so even
if you provide value through information, you still
want to have a good design.
HEADLINES
Make your headlines big enough to capture attention and try
to use as few words as possible. You also want to use trigger
words that make the viewer want to continue reading!
ICONS
Make sure to mix the graphic icons. Don't use the same icons
over and over, and don't just pick the first one you see. Rather,
spend an extra minute or two to find a well-detailed icon.
TEXT FONT
Your text font has to be clear and easy to read.
People like simplicity. Don't make it harder than it has to be
and make sure you pick a font that you can use at all times.
FOR YOUR OWN AND OTHERS SAKE...
Never Use a font like this!
ENGAGEMENT
First, what is engagement?
Many people seem to think that engagement is all about likes, and
that the post with the most amount of likes immediately has the
most amount of engagement. This is true, to an extent.
But it's more than just likes. Engagement is anything
from a like, comment, save, or share. And they all
have different weighs-ins to the algorithm.
Even if you get half your usual likes on a post, but you double the
saves & shares. Your post will still be seen by more people. Why?
Because Instagram favors saves and shares before likes and
comments. A share to a friend, for example, is way more relevant
than a simple double-tap.
If you post extraordinary content, it's absolutely incredible. And
you don't do anything to increase engagement. You're basically
saying NO to hundreds if not thousands of followers!
Therefore, it's so important that you follow the strategies below on
all of your posts. These strategies will make it easier for you to get
on the explore page & rank high on hashtags and that way,
be seen by more people.
FIRST HOUR
The most crucial time of engagement is within the first hour,
so you want to attract as much engagement as you can the
second your post goes live. If you're in a paid engagement group,
as we'll talk about on the next page, you want to upload your post
as close to when the "engagement round" goes live as possible.
The first-hour engagement is VITAL.
ENGAGING WITH YOUR FOLLOWERS
You can't expect more followers if you don't care about the ones
you already have. With that said, REPLY to the comments that you
get. Not only will this make your followers feel like you care, but it
will also increase engagement even further. When you do reply,
answer with another question & try to spark a conversation. This
will make them comment AGAIN and will boost it EVEN more.
If you do this consistently, on all of your comments, your
engagement will definitely increase.
ENGAGEMENT GROUPS
An engagement group is a group of pages who help each others
out by leaving a like + comment on each others posts, sometimes
even saves & shares. This is GREAT for growth, especially when it
comes from bigger accounts in the same niche as you.
Also, when you get engagement from pages similar to yours, it
will be easier for the Instagram algorithm to identify your niche.
You can join paid groups such as Executive Mafia (EXM) and PP
Network (PP). They usually charge between $5-$20 a month,
depending on the package you buy.
I would highly recommend that you join at least one of the two.
You don't need to stay forever. I was in the PP Network from
0-30K followers with @savetoinvest, but I left once I got enough
organic engagement.
Here are the links to the two groups:

POSTING TIMES
There's a different peak time to every page. It all comes down to
the audience, where they are from & what their daily routine looks
like. You will need to test this for yourself. There's no secret sauce
to this one. What I can help you with, is how to find your
best time to post, as fast as possible.
1) Go to your audience insights and scroll down
to the very bottom and then filter it by the hours.
2) Now you should be able to see when
the majority of your audience is active.
3) There are usually 3 pillars in a row that have a darker blue than
the other ones, I call this the "9-hour window". This is when you
want your post/s to be active.
4) Test, test, test. Watch the likes & engagement during the first
10 minutes of your post. If you get more than usual at a specific
time, multiple times in a row, you got it.
NUMBER OF POSTS PER DAY
There's no correct answer to this, either. You have to be able to test
& adapt to your audience. You may own the page, but your
audience rules the game :)
If you post highly informative posts you most likely want to narrow
down to 1 or 2 posts a day. If you post simple stuff like motivational
quotes, you will probably get better results posting 2-4 times a day.
Note: If you just started your page and it's completely fresh.
I'd recommend you to upload 9 posts instantly, this will make
your page look less empty.
VIRAL CONTENT
Going viral is really that one thing that can make you go
from a couple of hundred followers per day to the 1000+ days.
How do you know for a fact that the content you're going
to post will go viral? You don't. But if your post fits into
any or multiple of the viral factors below, it will increase
your chance of going viral by a TON.
CONTROVERSY
Controversy leads to emotions and emotions lead to action.
If you strike someone's nerve, they are most likely not even
going to think twice before rushing to the comment section to
express their opinion. This will boost your engagement by a ton!
RELATABILITY
People are more likely going to like, comment, save or share
the post if they relate to it. Therefore, a great way to
increase engagement and the possibility of going viral is to
make your post relatable to as many people as possible.
NEGATIVE VIBE
From what I've seen, posts with a negative vibe seem to get more
exposure and attract more engagement. I can't tell why that is but
that's the case. If you want to, you can take advantage of it, or go
the other way around and try to push positivity. It's up to you.
HUMOR
Even if the topic of the post is serious, a slight touch of humor can
increase the chance of going viral by tenfold. If you know how to
provide valuable information along with entertainment, DO IT!
VALUE
There are a lot of ways to provide value, and value itself
can be a lot of different things, it can be:
1) Helping people do things better & faster.
2) Any sort of education/information.
3) Making people that come across your page feel good
when interacting and viewing your posts.
4) Empowering people to make good decisions
and take the right action.
Constantly provide an enormous amount of value in
your posts and you will increase your engagement
and follow conversion tremendously.
CALL TO ACTION
Call to actions are great to force engagement.
There are several different types of CTA's that you can use.
The more relevant to the post they are, the better.
Here are 5 examples:
1) "Tag a friend that..."
2) "Share this to your story if..."
3) "Type YES if you..."
4) "What are your thoughts on..?"
5) "Send this post to a friend that..."
You want to use a CTA on EVERY POST that you make!
HOW TO FIND VIRAL CONTENT
If you want to create viral content from scratch (come up with the
idea of your post & create it all by yourself), then you should try to
follow the viral factors we just went through.
If you can't come up with a viral post idea but still want to make
the post yourself, I would suggest you scroll through different
kinds of blogs/articles & Youtube channels related to your niche
to spark some ideas.
The absolute best way to make sure that your post will go viral is
to replicate what has already gone viral in the past. Basically,
recreate proven viral content.
So how do you find proven viral content?
Go to a page in your niche, scroll through their feed and try to
figure out what their average likes per post are.
Now keep scrolling and try to find something that stands out.
Sometimes a post can get 2x or 3x the amount of average likes,
this means the post has gone viral!
Recreate this post, and possibly add a little extra touch that
includes any of the viral factors we went through above.
*Make sure you watch the caption on the post you've found,
because sometimes it's not the post itself that made it go viral, it
was the CTA in the caption that did.
NOTE: If you're going to straight-up copy the post, make sure to
leave credit at the bottom of your caption or at least tag the
original creator in the picture. Not only is this nice to the person
that created this from complete scratch, but since he/she is most
likely in your niche, you want to create a good relationship with
them and this is a great way to do so.
SHOUT FOR SHOUT
STORY S4S
Doing story S4S (shout for shout) was one of the key factors for my
early growth. In my opinion, it's the number one growth strategy
to follow when you're between 500 - 20K followers.
How it works:
1) Contact pages in your niche that have close to the same amount
of followers as you.
2) Send them a DM and ask if they want to do a story S4S.
3) If they say yes, send them your shout-out template and they will
send you theirs. Post it, and voila... you're done.
For best results, try different templates
and watch how they perform. Some
templates do way better than others.
You want to have a high converting
template, especially if you plan to do
multiple S4S per day. It could
potentially 2x or 3x your S4S growth.
I have tried over 10 different templates.
To your right you can see my absolute
best one. I still use it to this day.
Feel free to recreate.
COLLABORATION
Yes, you can do S4S on your feed too, but it's a bit spammy
and if you want to have a consistent feed it will probably do
more harm than good. So, instead of doing a feed S4S, you
can do something called a collaboration.
Here are three reasons why collabs are better:
It looks more professional.
It makes it more authentic/personal.
You get to keep a consistent feed.
A collaboration means that you're making a post together
with another page in your niche. For example, you have a
post about "top 10 business podcasts". You can then post 5
on your page and write in the caption that the other 5 will
be seen on the other page that you're doing the collab with
and they will do the same on their page.
Yes, you have to be a bit creative. But it's still better than
destroying your feed & spamming your followers.
NETWORKING
A great way to grow is to network and become friends with other
people in your niche.
This also makes it more fun and decreases the possibility of giving
up as you can grow along with people that have a similar goal and
mindset as you. You can also help each other out by creating
engagement & shoutout groups.
I'm in multiple groups myself, both engagement & shoutout groups:
Here's an example of what a shoutout group can look like:
Monday: Everyone shoutouts John.
Tuesday: Daniel.
Wednesday: Alexander.
Thursday: Erik.
Friday: Tom.
Saturday: Nick.
Sunday: Kevin.
Repeat.
To the right, you can see a
screenshot of the S4S group
schedule that I am a part of.
With that said, NETWORK. Build relationships, start group-chats,
engagement groups, shoutout groups, promote each other's
products and trade tips & tricks with each other.
It's called social media for a reason. So be social.
INSTAGRAM STORIES
Don't underestimate stories. I honestly think that
you should spend as much time & effort creating
high-quality stories as you are on your feed posts.
6 WAYS YOU CAN UTILIZE STORIES
1) When you upload a new post, share it to your story. Hype it up
by adding a bit of curiosity and a reason for them to tap on it.
This is a great way to increase your post engagement.
2) Upload a story every 3 hours. By doing this, and not uploading
all of your stories at the same time, you'll constantly put your story
at the top of your followers feed, which will give your stories more
attention.
3) Increase your story engagement by running daily/weekly polls,
questions, quizzes and Q&As that provoke discussions relevant to
your page.
4) Use hashtags in your stories to increase views. You can add up
to 10, but I'd suggest you only use max 1-3 hashtags per story.
5) Show your followers something they won't see in your feed.
It can be something from behind the scenes and/or what you're
doing in your day-to-day life. (This adds credibility & authority.)
6) Provide VALUE. It could be a motivating/inspiring message,
a practical tip or just a good piece of valuable information.
Your story views come from the most active people on your page,
so make sure you try to build an honest relationship with them.
This is key when it comes to monetization.
HASHTAGS
Hashtags are great to gain new traffic to your page, but you
have to use them correctly. What I've seen the best results
with is a method called "The staircase strategy".
STAIRCASE STRATEGY
FOLLOWERS NUMBER OF # SIZE OF #
0-10K 20-29 # BELOW 100K
10-50K 20-25 # BELOW 500K
50-100K 15-20 # BELOW 1M
100-500K 10-15 # BELOW 5M
500K+ 5-10 # BELOW 20M
NOTE: Following the staircase strategy is enough to get good
reach from your hashtags. However, you can advance it further
by combining the staircase strategy with something called the
ladder strategy which is a more advanced way of using the
hashtag sizes. It's not necessary but if you got the time... why not?
Here's an example of how to use the ladder strategy:
Let's say you are between 0-10K followers
and you use ~25 hashtags on your post.
This is what you would do:
15 small hashtags (below 10K posts)
5 medium hashtags (below 100K posts)
4 big hashtags (above 100K posts)
1 page hashtag. (EG. Mine is #savetoinvest.)
So to simplify it, you want to use a mix of big and small
hashtags with the MAJORITY of hashtags being small.
RELEVANT HASHTAGS
Along with using the staircase & ladder strategy, you should
ALWAYS use hashtags that are as relevant as possible to the
actual post. Yes, to the POST, not just to your overall page.
WHERE TO PUT YOUR #
Some say putting hashtags in the caption is best and
others say putting them in your comments is best.
The truth is... they're both right.
Putting it in the caption is better in terms of reach, but putting
it in the comments looks less spammy & greedy. Because of
that, you will have a better follow conversion than if you would
put it in the caption. It's such a slight difference so when it
comes down to it, it doesn't really matter.
However, you DON'T want to switch between them.
You either put them in the caption or the comments.
DON'TS
DON'T use the same hashtags over and over again,
Instagram will notice this and probably leave you with a
shadowban. (Basically, block you from any hashtag or explore
reach for a set amount of time. Usually ~2 weeks.)
DON'T use banned hashtags, this will also leave you with a
shadowban. (Examples of banned hashtags: #porn, #naked.)
DON'T use hashtags that are too big & irrelevant.
(e.g #follow, #instagram #instagood, #photooftheday.)
IGTV
Video content is set to be the future. According to statistics from
Wordstream, a third of online activity is spent watching videos.
And over HALF of that video content is viewed on mobile phones.
Instagram knows this very well. And since IGTV is still quite new,
the algorithm favors accounts who use IGTV consistently.
Who knows, IGTV could be as big as youtube one day.
And if it is to become as big as Youtube.. wouldn't you try
to jump on it as quick as you possibly could? I know I would.
So obviously, there's a lot of potential in using IGTV, but what's
the key to getting good engagement and views on your videos?
1-minute mark: When the video hits 1 minute, the viewer has
to either stop watching or tap the button "watch full IGTV
video". You want to optimize the video in a way that makes the
1-minute mark very intriguing to keep watching because if a lot
of people tap the watch full video button, the algorithm pretty
much gets a message that your video is good so they will push
it further to reach more people! Win-win! You get more views
and Instagram gets people to stay on the platform.
Posting times: We went over the importance of posting times
with regular feed posts. This is EVEN more important for IGTV
videos.
Feed Preview: The latest IGTV update makes it possible for
users to share their IGTV videos to their feed. You should
ALWAYS do this. And when you notice your views are slowing
down, you can remove it. (This won't remove the video
completely. The IGTV will still be available to view in your
separate IGTV slider, it will also keep collecting views from
hashtags, explore page & the IGTV Feed.)
Clickbait: I know. I hate them too. But the thing is, they work.
If you don't want to use them, don't. But you will be missing
out on a ton of reach.
Thumbnail: You want to make the thumbnail as intriguing
and "clickbaity" as possible. And if you have a consistent feed.
You probably want your thumbnail to fit it. (This can be done
in canva!)
Call to action: Just as with regular posts, you want to add a
CTA to every IGTV upload.
Video Length: Videos between 4-5 minutes usually gets
more views.
Average watch-time: The more average watch-time you
have, the more likely it is that the post will go viral. And to
increase watch time you want to post content that your
followers resonates well with. This requires some testing.
Watch your IGTV video insights closely. If you get over 20%
average watch time, you want to post more of that type of
videos. Anything below 20% is not worth posting as it doesn't
resonate well enough with your audience to go viral.
Longetivity: IGTV has an incredible life span, it's fairly
comparable to Youtube in that sense. An IGTV Video collects
views MONTHS after it has been posted. With that said, one
single video can bring you followers passively for a long time.
Consistency: Upload IGTV videos consistently,
because you never know when that viral video hits.
ALGORITHM
Understand that Instagram knows everything that you do.
They know who you talk within your DMs, what sort of pages
you engage with, how you scroll through your feed, if you’re
watching a story and you hold to read... they KNOW.
The algorithm is set up to make you stay on the platform for
as long as possible. The longer you stay, the more ads they can
show you. The more ads they can show you, the more money
for Instagram. Therefore, we don't have a chronological feed
anymore and now instead get to see posts based on past behavior.
As you probably know, there are a lot of bots on Instagram.
Zuck & Co. don't really like this... so they're doing
everything they can to eliminate anything that seems to
be automated by giving accounts that seems automated a...
SHADOW BAN
A shadowban is pretty much an invisible ban. You can still log in
and use your account, but all your outside reach will be gone and
in some cases, you can't comment or like other posts. This will
make it VERY hard to grow. A shadowban usually lasts for 2 weeks.
So how do you avoid it?
Be HUMAN.
Don't comment the same thing on every post.
Don't use the same hashtags over and over again.
Don't use banned hashtags.

INSIGHTS
HOW TO READ YOUR INSIGHTS
Step 1: Go to your profile.
Step 2: Press the "3 strings" in the upper right corner.
Step 3: Click on Insights.
Step 4: Click on Content.
Step 5: Go to See all.
This is where you read your insights.
The goal is to see what type of content
gets the most reach.
If you have something that sticks out,
keep doing that. If you have content
that does bad, remove it completely.
Tap here to be able
to filter by.
You can choose to
filter by engagement,
follows, comments,
likes, impressions,
reach, shares, saves
and more...
It can be hard to see what does well if you only have
20 uploaded posts, but keep posting and you'll slowly
start to notice that some posts do a lot better than others.
Test, Test, Test. Not every post will be good. If you
consistently read your insights and you stop posting
content that doesn't work and post more of what does work,
you will absolutely increase your growth.
GROWTH HACKS
Everything in this section is minor, yet so important in the
beginning. Followers are humans. If they see someone with 10K
followers that posts "ok" content, and then they see someone with
250 followers that posts fire content, they're still more likely to
follow the 10K page.
When you get to 10K and above you have enough social proof to
be able to grow without doing any of the things below. But, if
you have the time and work ethic and truly want to maximize
your growth, you should keep doing everything in this section.
Just note that this could be very time-consuming.
STEAL FOLLOWERS
1) Follow the biggest accounts in your niche
and turn on post notifications.
2) Every time they upload a picture, go and leave
a genuine comment that relates to their post.
3) You can have max 5 accounts on your phone. Use this to your
advantage. Create multiple accounts and every time you leave a
comment on someones post, log in to your other accounts and
like that comment, this way your comment will be put at the very
top of their comment section.
4) This is pretty much a free way of getting traffic to your page.
If you do this consistently, you could definitely add
an extra 30-100 followers per day.
ALT TEXT
By using ALT TEXT, you will make it easier for instagram to identify
your post and then use that information to push your post to
people who are more likely to engage with your content.
(Basically giving your post more of a targeted reach.)
How to do it:
1. Go to Instagram and press the upload button.
2. Pick the post that you want to upload.
3. Press Next in the upper right corner.
4. Go to the very bottom and press "Advanced Settings"
5. Click on "Write Alt Text"
6. Write keywords that relate to your post.
7. Hit done!
$1.80 STRATEGY
This is a growth strategy that has been very
popularized lately by none other than Gary Vaynerchuck.
The name of this strategy can be a bit confusing, but it
basically means that you're leaving your “two cents” on 9
posts, over 10 hashtags each day. $0.02 + 9 (x 10) = $1.80.
How does it work?
Find the 10 most relevant hashtags in your niche to
follow.
Reach out and leave a genuine and valuable comment on
the top 9 posts in each hashtag.
Do this consistently and get to know others in your niche.
BUYING SHOUTOUTS
If you want to buy shoutouts, you obviously want to get the most out
of your money. The best way to do so is to... Buy in bulk!
Preferably 10x posts & 10x stories. Find pages in your niche with
good engagement. Ask what their BEST price for 10 posts & stories
is, and when they respond, you want to make a lower counteroffer.
Unless they already gave you an absolute killer deal.
Why is this so effective?
It's hard to say no to money and when you offer a large sum
of money upfront, people will find it very hard to say no, even tho it
is clear they are undervaluing their page.
But, before you buy the shoutout, research their engagement with
tools such as [Link] or [Link]. You want them to have
an engagement-rate above average. You also want to ask for a
screenshot of their audience insights, weekly impressions and story
views. (If they don't want to send you their insights, that's a red flag
and you should not buy from them.)
If they have a majority of US followers, good impressions
and story views, you're most likely going to have a good ROI.
Make sure you only pay through paypal and use the
goods & services option. This will make it easier for
you to get your money back in case you were to get scammed.
NOTE: If you use all the growth strategies in this e-book you should
be able to grow without spending a single $ on shoutouts.
MONETIZATION HACKS
Your followers are your customers. If you were to run a coffee
shop, would you ignore a customer or do anything to make a
potential customer leave? Probably not. You would do
everything to build a relationship with that customer to make
them come back. Recurring customers are key to a sustainable
business. The same goes for Instagram. The recurring
customers for your coffee shop are now recurring people who
consistently engage with your posts and buys your products.
CAPTION
Something you should keep in mind when you're writing your
captions is that readers are buyers. Long, storytelling & authentic
captions are key to building a relationship with your followers.
BEHIND THE SCENES
Show your face and tease something behind the scenes. This creates
a stronger relationship and builds more trust than you may think.
People buy from whom they know. If you use this "hack",
people will more likely buy your products in the future, because
they will feel like they know who they are buying from.
IT ALL GOES DOWN IN THE DMS
This is a very common saying in the Instagram business world
and it's very true. If someone sends you a DM, it means they're
interested in you. If you're a good negotiator, you'll be able to
sell them onto your service/product quite easy. This is also a
great opportunity to build a relationship with that follower if you
don't have a product or service yet but will have in the future.
AFFILIATE MARKETING
If you want to live like this...
Then I'd say affiliate marketing is the
way to go. It's arguably the most passive
form of income that you can make.
Affiliate marketing, in my opinion, is the lazy way of making
money. So, if your goal is to put in as little work as possible and
still make money, you should probably do affiliate marketing.
How do you find affiliate offers for Instagram?
First of all, you only want to promote affiliate offers that are high
quality products/services that you use yourself & genuinely like to
use. (It should obviously also be a product that fits your audience.)
If you promote anything that you can find (even if the offer is
absolute garbage) just to make money, your followers will notice,
and their trust for you will be gone in the blink of an eye.
A little reminder: You only need to promote one affiliate offer to
succeed with affiliate marketing.
With that said, think about all the products or services that you use
in your day-to-day life that you LOVE. I am pretty sure you can
come up with at least one.
Now you want to find out if they have an affiliate program for their
product. The easiest way to do so is to google it. Or you can scroll
down to the very bottom of their website. This is usually where
they have a link to sign up for their affiliate program.
There are also several large affiliate programs/networks like
Clickbank & Amazon that you can join for free that have thousands
of different affiliate offers in different niches.
How do you promote affiliate offers on Instagram?
There are passive ways and semi-passive ways to promote your
affiliate offers on Instagram. The most passive way is to put your
affiliate link in your bio. You can also put up a story highlight with
one of your affiliate offers and then inside the highlight, put one or
multiple swipe up stories where you explain the product.
The semi-passive way would be to upload 24hr swipe up stories
and posts with affiliate offers on a regular basis.
As you can see, I'm clearly an
affiliate for Canva, which I really
love to be.
The #1 reason I love being an
affiliate for Canva is because it's
something I would promote even
if I would not get paid for it.
The #2 reason I love canva is
because it's a subscription
product, which means I'll make
money passively every single
month for as long as the people
who buy through my link don't
cancel their subscription.
So.. what type of affiliate offers are the absolute best?
That's an easy one... High ticket subscription products :)
...But why?
Firstly, it's high ticket which means you'll get a big commission.
Secondly, it's a subscription product which means you'll get paid
every single month... and that's passive income.
PAY PER VIEW
BLOG
Because Instagram doesn't pay you according to how much traffic
you bring to your page, a great way to monetize is to drive your
Instagram traffic elsewhere.
You can redirect your IG following to a blog by inserting your blog
link in bio, set up swipe up story highlights, and consistently
promote it through feed posts & stories.
Once you get some traction and consistent traffic to your blog you
could monetize it with:
Google Adsense (Banner ads)
Affiliate Marketing (Put affiliate links in your blog posts)
Referral links to apps/services.
Promotions (Make a blog post about a product or a person that
wants to build a personal brand in return for money upfront.)
Sell your own products. (E-books, Courses, Apparel).
Establish Authority by building a brand around yourself and
your own business.
Email Marketing (Build an email list through your blog, and
make money on the back end by sending affiliate offers &
special discounts on your own products/services.
Setting up a blog is a great move if
you want to make money long term.
YouTube is pretty similar to starting a blog, but instead of writing
articles and blog posts, you upload videos. If you're comfortable in
front of the camera and like to edit, then Youtube is the way to go.
If you're camera shy, but still want to do Youtube, nothing is
stopping you, it's 2019. You could make screen recording videos,
animations, or start a podcast.
Youtube is probably the best thing you could do. It is already taking
over traditional TV and you can build a relationship with your
audience on Youtube way easier than with Instagram because
of the long video content format.
Youtube is also a lot easier to monetize than any other platform.
Actually, you don't really need to do anything at all besides
connecting your youtube channel to a google adsense account.
People are making hundreds of thousands of dollars every single
month, solely with Youtube ad revenue...
You can promote and get traffic to your youtube videos the same
way as as you do with your blog & affiliate marketing. If you
want to make a big sum of money, and not only by ad revenue,
Then you can also do these things to monetize your channel:
Affiliate marketing (Put affiliate links in your descriptions)
Sponsorships (Promote products/services)
Sell products (You can sell e-books, courses, apparel,
supplements or anything that aligns with your audience.)
It's the same way that you monetize your Instagram & blog, but
you're able to build a personal relationship with your audience
faster & easier.
PROMOTION/SHOUTOUTS
Promotions are, by far, the easiest money you can make through
Instagram. Simply get paid to post a picture. The more followers
you have, the more you'll get paid.
But don't be greedy and don't overdo this. I've seen pages who
went ham on this, I won't mention any names, but they posted 2-5
promotions PER DAY. They probably made a good amount of
money from it, but what happend? Their page got deleted.
Rather be safe than sorry. I suggest that you follow the 80/20 rule,
which means that MAX 1/5 of your posts will be promotional posts.
This is a good rule to follow if you want to make some easy money
and still not lose your followers trust and jeopardize getting your
page deleted (because your page literally looks like an entire ad.)
How much can you make only posting promotions/shoutouts?
This depends on how targeted your niche is, how good
engagement you have and where your followers come from.
People can't put value on themselves, so there's not a direct
guideluine to how much a shoutout/promotion should cost either.
I can only speak for myself and what I charge for a promotion.
I actually have a screenshot of my rates that I send whenever
someone asks for it. (These are my rates from 150-250K followers)
I've made over $10,000 just by posting
promotions & shoutouts through all of
my pages during the past 9 months.
MULTIPLE PAGES
If you can figure out how to grow one account, you can (and should)
grow multiple accounts. You can do this in the same niche that you
already have experience with, or you can branch out and move
to a completely different niche.
I do recommend you stay in your niche, because if you already
have a big account in the niche, you have great leverage. You
can promote your new page through it and that way grow it very
fast without having to spend any money.
As I said in the previous chapter,
some pages have been completely wiped out.
That's why you have to be careful and stay protected.
Creating multiple pages is a great way to do so.
It's also a great way to scale. I currently own 2 additional pages
apart from @savetoinvest. Those additional pages are making me
over $1000/month, most of it coming from promotions/shoutouts.
Aside from those pages that I own now, I've had 3 other pages that
I've grown very fast from scratch (by having the leverage of multiple
& bigger pages) that I've then sold, which altogether earned me over
$3000. (I sold them when they had between 5-20K followers)
I sold my pages early, but it was ONLY because I got great offers.
I suggest you hold on to your pages for as long as you can because
the bigger they are the more money you'll make.
This is also something that can be outsourced. If you can find
someone who can completely manage and monetize your account/s
and still leave you with a profit after their management fee, you got
yourself an automated business generating you PASSIVE INCOME.
PRODUCTS & SERVICES
What physical products can you sell?
Apparel (Shoes, Hoodies, Hats, T-shirts..)
Supplements
Books
Equipment
What digital products can you sell?
E-books
Courses
Apps
Pre-built websites
What services can you sell?
Account Management
Content/Logo Creation
Private 1 on 1 coaching
Private mentorship group
Consulting calls (Skype call $100/hour)
Virtual Assistance
Web/App Development
Marketing Agency (Help small & big businesses with SEO,
Facebook ads, Influencer Marketing, Email Marketing, Content
Marketing, Crowdfunding.)
As you can see, there are countless things you can sell on IG.
However, the most profitable thing you can ever sell is knowledge
(a.k.a info-products). If you have something to offer, that you know
will benefit the masses, you should by all means sell it. If you
consistently over-deliver and prove to be providing your followers
with actual value, they will not only buy from you once, they will
gladly pay you for your knowledge over and over again.
PERSONAL BRAND
A personal brand is the best thing you can ever do if you want to
make money for a long time to come... Growing a niche page is
way easier than growing a personal brand. That's your leverage.
You can promote your personal brand through your niche page.
You can monetize your personal brand the same way you would
anything else we have gone through.
What a personal brand really does:
1) Inputs trust.
2) Builds connections.
3) Builds credibility.
4) Makes you more authentic.
Just take a look at Kylie Jenner with her brand kyliecosmetics,
which is now being valued at $900 MILLION.
What's the quickest way to grow your personal brand
through an Instagram niche page?
Put your @personal account in your niche page bio.
Talk about yourself in your captions, and tag your personal
account in them as well.
Consistently put up stories where you show your face. The
more your followers get to see you, the more they get to know
you and the more likely they are to follow your personal page.
Cross story S4S. Just like a regular shout 4 shout, but you get
the other page to shoutout your personal account.
Give away a free e-book or any other kind of product and
mention yourself as the author. This will raise awareness.
Create a paid product and run a giveaway on it and for people
to enter the giveaway, they must follow your personal page.

EFFECTIVITY HACKS
These hacks won't help you grow & make money on the
front end but will definitely help you save time.
Time that you can then spend elsewhere.
SCHEDUELING YOUR POSTS
I suggest you have a minimum of 10 posts ready,
with prewritten captions & hashtags, at all times.
By doing this, you'll have time to spend
elsewhere instead of constantly worrying about creating,
preparing and uploading your post of the day and not fall behind.
KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS FOR HASHTAG SETS
Writing your hashtags manually can be very time consuming.
Using this keyboard shortcut hack can possibly save you
hundreds of hours in the long run.
How to:
1) Open the Notes app.
2) Type out the group of hashtags you want to use.
3) Copy all of the text.
4) Open the Settings app.
5) Tap General > Keyboard > Text Replacement > “+”.
6) In “Phrases”, paste your hashtags.
7) In “Shortcut”, type the word you want to trigger the hashtags.
8) Tap “Save” in the top right corner.
NOTE: By using this hack you'll eliminate the use of the
"ladder strategy" which we talked about in the hashtag chapter.

MINDSET
As I've said, this is simple but in no way is it easy.
You have to commit yourself to succeed. Most people
give up once they realize all the hard work they need
to put in to actually succeed, but the one's who stay
consistent will be very happy that they did.
If you ever think about giving up, you need to look at
the possibilities this holds. In literally less than one year
of hard work, you can have a whole new source of
income, that you make OFF YOUR PHONE.
This will leave you with a possibility to work from
anywhere in the world as long as you got WiFi. You'll be
free to do whatever you want and you won't need to
drag yourself every morning to the job that you hate.
I really mean this. ANYONE can succeed with Instagram.
It doesn't matter where you're from or how old you are.
If you have a phone and are committed to your goal,
you will make it. It's just a matter of time. If you give up,
you weren't really committed in the first place.
Again.. ANYONE can do this. It means two things, that
you are able to do it and that everyone else can too...
With that said, IG has a very LOW BARRIER TO ENTRY.
If you want to make money for a long time without
having to risk that some kid with lots of time
or money comes and takes your spot, you will
need to create some kind of barrier to entry.

BRANDING & SCALING
Because of the fact that the barrier to entry is extremely low,
you will (to survive in the next 10+ years) need to increase
your brand recognition and scale your Instagram page into
a business that requires a high barrier to entry.
6 things you can do to increase brand recognition:
Sell branded apparel. (e.g hoodies with your logo)
Tell your story. (e.g how you got started)
Provide value (exceed their expectations)
Put your logo on all of your content & marketing materials.
Mass produce content over multiple platforms.
Show that you mean business by actively promoting your
products & services.
If you're serious about this and want to build an actual business
for yourself, I highly recommend that you read this blog post
about how to create market entry barriers:
[Link]
Not all of you want to make this your full time business.
Some of you might just want to make some side income
and have your focus elsewhere, and that's completely fine.
I'm not here to tell you how to structure your life. I'm here to help
you grow and make money with Instagram. What you do with the
given information is up to you! I just want to give you guys an
honest chance to pause and think about your actual end goal.
(BONUS)
CLOSING THOUGHTS
There are two kinds of people on social media. If you want to
make money off of it, you have to become the latter one.
You either consume content, or you
produce content for others to consume.
There have never been more advantages to being a creator on
social media than RIGHT NOW. Social media and Instagram in
particular are growing faster than anything in the world right now.
As of today there are over 1 billion users on instagram, if you
reached 1% of all users on Instagram, you would still reach over
10 million people.
REMEMBER THIS:
If you have followers, you have eyes.
If you have eyes, you will have buyers.
If you have buyers, you will have money.
I want to thank you again from the bottom of my heart for buying
this e-book, it means more to me than you think! I also want to
congratulate you for investing in yourself and taking action on
