Global Warming

Global warming, driven by the greenhouse effect, is causing significant global issues such as extreme weather, rising sea levels, health risks, and threats to biodiversity. The primary causes include greenhouse gas emissions from burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and modern farming practices. Solutions to mitigate global warming involve reducing emissions, transitioning to renewable energy, protecting forests, adopting sustainable farming, and encouraging individual actions.

Global warming
Global warming, driven by the greenhouse effect, is causing Earth's temperature to
climb, leading to serious problems worldwide.

Problems caused by global warming:

● Crazy Weather: We're seeing more extreme events like floods, heatwaves,
and hurricanes, causing deaths, hunger, and disease.
● Rising Seas: Melting ice is causing sea levels to rise, putting coastal cities
and ecosystems at risk. US coastlines are expected to increase by around 1
foot by 2050.
● Health Risks: Warmer temperatures worsen air pollution and heatwaves,
leading to breathing problems and increased deaths.
● Nature in Trouble: Plants and animals are struggling with the changes,
potentially leading to extinctions and damage to ocean life, and a lack of
water is available due to the changing nature of river flow.
What's causing it?
● Trapped Heat: Greenhouse gases, like carbon dioxide and methane, trap
heat in the atmosphere.
● Burning Fuel: Burning coal, oil, and gas for energy releases lots of these
gases.
● Cutting Down Trees: Forests that absorb carbon dioxide are being
destroyed.
● Farming: Modern farming practices also contribute to the problem.
How can we slow it down?
● Cut Emissions: Reduce the amount of greenhouse gases we release.
● Go Green: Switch to renewable energy sources like solar and wind.
● Save the Forests: Protect and replant forests to absorb carbon dioxide.
● Smarter Farming: Use more sustainable farming methods.
● Individual Efforts: We can all help by using less energy, choosing public
transportation, and buying sustainable products.
