General Instructions
1. The question paper comprises - A,B,C,D,E and F. There are 19 questions in the Question paper. All
questions are compulsory.
2. Section A - From questions 1-10 are MCQs of 1 mark each.
3. Section B - Questions no. 11 to 15 are Very Short Answer Type Questions, carrying 2 marks each.
Answer to the each questions should not exceed 40 words.
4. Section C - contains Q. 15 & 16 Q. are Short Answer Type Questions, carrying 4 marks each. Answer
to the each questions should not exceed 60 words.
5. Section D - Question no 17 is Long Answer Type Question, carrying 5 marks . Answer
to the question should not exceed 120 words.
6. Section E - Question no from 18 is a case based question with four sub questions and are of 1
marks each. Answer to the each questions should not exceed 20-30 words.
7. Section F - Question no 19 is map based, carrying 4 marks.
8. There is no overall choice in the question paper. However an internal choice has been provided in few
questions. Only one of the choices in such questions must be attempted.

18. In 1930, Mahatma Gandhi launched the Salt March, also known as the Dandi March, as part of the
Civil Disobedience Movement. This was a direct challenge to the British monopoly on salt production
in India, where the British had imposed a tax on salt. Gandhi, along with his followers, walked 240
miles from Sabarmati Ashram to the coastal village of Dandi to produce salt from the sea, defying
British laws.
