Checklist for Football Editors Before Uploading

Point 1: You don't have a niche

● Checklist:
○ Is your channel focused on a specific niche (e.g., football edits)?
○ Avoid mixing unrelated content on the same channel.
○ Consider creating separate channels for different niches to ensure your audience
and the YouTube algorithm is clear.

Point 2: Your video is not interesting enough to get clicks

● Checklist:
○ Did you brainstorm and research popular, relevant ideas for your niche?
○ Is your video idea unique and not overused?
○ Does your video start with a compelling hook in the first few seconds?

Point 3: Your video is not engaging

● Checklist:
○ Have you identified what makes your successful videos engaging and
implemented a similar strategy
○ Did you trim slow or boring parts and enhance with effects, captions, and music?
○ Have you given a reason for your viewer to stay to the end?
○ Is there a clear Call-to-Action (CTA) to encourage engagement (e.g., likes,
comments, subscribes)?

Point 4: The algorithm is confused

○ Have you optimized your video title, description, and tags with relevant
keywords?
○ Did you check Shorts Analytics to see if your video was shown to the right
audience?
○ Are you using hashtags and video tags effectively to increase discoverability?

Additional Tips:

● Consistency:
○ Maintain consistency in content style and quality, as well as upload schedule, to
build viewer loyalty.
● Analytics:
○ Regularly review YouTube Analytics to understand what works and adjust your
strategy accordingly. Average View Duration, Watch time, and Stayed vs Swiped
away are the most important!
● Continuous Learning:
○ Stay updated with trends and best practices in football edits and YouTube shorts.
