MRI: LUMBO-SACRAL SPINE


IMAGING SEQUENCES
AXIAL: T1, T2; SAGITTAL: T1, T2 & STIR; CORONAL: STIR

Lumbar spinal curvature is maintained. Osteophytic beaking, Modic II endplate changes and Schmorl’s nodes are seen
at multiple levels. Vertebral bodies are showing normal height and alignment.
All lumbar intervertebral discs are desiccated. Annular tear is seen at L4-5 level.
Diffuse disc bulge is seen at L4-5 level. It is causing indentation over ventral aspect of thecal sac & causing mild bilateral
neural foraminal narrowing.
Neural foramina eleswhere are showing normal MR morphology and signal intensity pattern.
Lower spinal cord including conus medullaris and cauda equina are showing normal MR morphology and signal intensity
pattern
Facet joints and ligamentum flavum are normal.
Pre and para vertebral soft tissues are normal.
