1. Write a brief history of the game scrabble

Scrabble is a word game invented by Alfred Mosher Butts in 1938. Butts, who was an architect, wanted
to create a game that combined anagrams and crossword puzzles. He spent several years developing the
game, which he initially called "Lexiko." In 1948, Butts sold the rights to James Brunot, who made some
minor changes to the game and renamed it "Scrabble."

Scrabble became very popular in the United States in the 1950s and 1960s, and it eventually spread to
other countries around the world. Today, Scrabble is played in over 120 countries, and there are
professional Scrabble players who compete in tournaments and earn money playing the game.

2. What are the equipment needed in game

The equipment needed to play Scrabble includes a game board, letter tiles, and a letter rack for each
player. The game board consists of a 15x15 grid of squares, with some squares marked with special
bonuses that give extra points for letters or words played on those squares. The letter tiles are usually
made of wood or plastic and have a letter and point value printed on them. The letter racks are used to
hold the player's tiles and keep them hidden from the other players.

3. Enumerate the rules and regulations in playing in game

▪️The game is played by two to four players.

▪️Each player starts with seven tiles, which they draw randomly from a bag of tiles.

▪️Players take turns placing tiles on the board to form words, which must connect to other words already
on the board.

▪️Players can only place tiles horizontally or vertically, not diagonally.

▪️Players can only use tiles that are in their own rack.

▪️Players score points for the letters they use in their words, as well as any bonuses for special squares on
the board.

▪️When a player has used all of their tiles, the game ends and they receive a bonus of 50 points.

▪️If a player cannot make a word on their turn, they must exchange one or more tiles for new ones from
the bag.
