Doc 101 - Power of Christianity

Exercise 1: Chronicle Your Journey of Faith

First Contact: Life around 13 was pretty confusing. One Sunday, I used to attend a Bethel Church with
my family. I didn't know much about what was going on, but the pastor's message hit me hard. It talked
about love, acceptance, and a purpose bigger than myself. Something about it just clicked.

Conversion: Right there in the pew, I didn't understand all the details, but I knew I wanted that – that
feeling of hope and belonging. In that simple moment, I gave my life to God

Influences: Having that support system - the church community and my mentor - made a huge
difference. But it was also the message of hope in the Bible that truly touched me. Passages like Romans
8:28 ("And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been
called according to his purpose") gave me a reason to keep going, even when things were tough.

Spiritual Growth: These days, my faith is a central part of my life. Prayer is my anchor, a way to connect
with God and find peace. I also try to attend church regularly, and I volunteer at a local homeless shelter.
Helping others is a way for me to express my gratitude for the help I received.

Outreach Aspiration: I want to go on mission trips someday, to use my experiences to help others who
might be struggling. But for now, I'm focused on sharing my faith with the people around me - by my
actions and by simply being there for them when they need support.

Doc 102 - Approaching the Bible

Exercise 1: How to Study the Bible Effectively

Context: I strive to understand the historical and cultural background of the text.

Genre: I identify the type of writing (history, poetry, letter) to grasp its conventions.

Observation: I read closely, noting key words, phrases, and repetitions.

Interpretation: I analyze the meaning in light of the context and genre.

Application: I reflect on how the passage applies to my life today.

Key Guides:

I utilize a Bible Dictionary for definitions and background information.

I consult commentaries for insights and interpretations from scholars.
I may use a study Bible with integrated notes and explanations.
Doc 107 - Spiritual Growth

Exercise 1: Signs of Christian Growth

Deepening Relationship with God: My relationship with God feels a lot like a constant conversation, a
back-and-forth whisper throughout my day. There are the big prayers, the ones on my knees where I
pour out my heart for guidance or strength. But more and more, I find myself just talking to Him –
thanking Him for the little things.

It might be a surprising sunrise after a gloomy week, or a kind word from a stranger just when I needed
it most. These are the moments where gratitude wells up in my heart, completely unexpected. It's like
finding a hidden treasure – a tiny blessing I hadn't even realized I was searching for. And in those
moments, a quick prayer of thanks shoots up, a silent acknowledgment to God's presence in my life.

The amazing thing is, He always comes through. Maybe not in the way I expect, not always with a
booming voice or a dramatic answer. But He comes through. The clouds part, the right person shows up,
or a quiet peace settles over me. It's a constant reminder that He's listening, that He's there, and that
even the smallest whispers of my heart reach Him.

Growing in Christ-like Character: Helping that lost tourist with directions wasn't a grand gesture, but a
small chance to show patience and kindness – the kind Christ embodied. It felt right, a simple reflection
of the immense gratitude I have for His grace in my life

Transformation of Habits: My habit went from a source of stress to a daily act of peaceful gratitude.

Sharing Faith: While I haven't had a huge chance to take on big projects yet, I've been faithfully
attending services and offering a helping hand when I can. Even small things add up, and I believe my
presence and support contribute to the church community
.

Exercise 2: Knowledge and Scripture Reading

Absolutely! Reading scripture strengthens my spiritual growth. The Bible provides guidance, inspiration,
and God's message.

Doc 109 - Your Identity in Christ

Exercise 1: The Difference Christ Makes

Forgiveness and Salvation: (Romans 6:23) Freedom from sin's penalty through Christ.
Purpose and Direction: (Ephesians 2:10) Knowing God's plan and living according to His will.
Hope and Strength: (Philippians 4:13) Facing challenges with God's power.
Inner Peace and Joy: (John 14:27) Finding fulfillment in Christ regardless of circumstances.
(Optional: You can search for scriptures relevant to specific areas of your life.)
Exercise 2: Old Man vs. New Man

Old Man: Represents my sinful nature before accepting Christ (Romans 6:6).
New Man: Represents my transformed identity in Christ, focused on living righteously (Ephesians 4:24).

Exercise 3: Your New Identity in Christ

In Christ, I am a forgiven child of God, loved unconditionally. My past no longer defines me, but a new
identity empowers me to live with purpose and reflect Christ's character. With a heart full of gratitude, I
contribute to my church community and strive to live a life that honors God.

ADM123 - Team Building and Dynamics

Exercise 1: Past Team Challenges

Discrimination of Idea: This happens when a team dismisses a valuable suggestion simply because it's
different or comes from a less experienced member
.
Sizing Up Financially: This occurs when team members with greater financial resources have more
influence on decisions, potentially neglecting the needs of those with less financial means
.
Lack of Financial Support: This arises when a team lacks the necessary funds to complete a project,
hindering progress and causing frustration.

Exercise 2: Reasons for Teamwork

1. Shared Goals: Teams can achieve more than individuals working alone.
2. Diversity of Skills: Teams benefit from the strengths of each member.

Doc 105 - Praying Effectively

1. Frequency of Prayer

Here are five scriptures about the importance of frequent prayer:

1 Thessalonians 5:17: "Pray continually."

Luke 18:1: "Jesus taught his disciples to pray always and not to faint."
Ephesians 6:18: "Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication."
Philippians 4:6: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God."
Psalm 55:17: "Evening, morning, and at noon I will pray and cry out, and he will hear my voice."

2. Role of Faith in Prayer

Faith is crucial in prayer. It signifies trust and belief that God hears and responds to our prayers.

Mark 11:24: "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it
will be yours."
Hebrews 11:6: "And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe
that he is and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him."

3. Limits of Prayer

The Bible doesn't explicitly state that prayer can do "all things." However, it emphasizes the power of
prayer and God's will.

James 4:3: "You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your pleasures." Our
prayers might not align with God's plan.
Matthew 26:39: "My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as
you will." God's will ultimately prevails.

Doc 106 - Ministry - Heart of Service

1. Special Contribution to the Body of Christ

I believe my gift of hospitality can contribute by welcoming newcomers and creating a warm
environment in the church."
2. Waiting on God for Instructions

Doc 108 - Financial Stewardship

1. Intentional Giving

Tithe (First 10%): A traditional practice of giving the first 10% of your income to the church.
Offerings: Donating beyond the tithe to support specific ministries or needs.
Local Outreach: Contributing to organizations that help those in need within your community.
Personal Needs: Allocate funds for your essential expenses and responsible saving.

2. Financial Planning Frequency and Areas

This is a personal decision. Consider factors like income stability and financial goals.

Weekly/Monthly: Review your budget, track income and expenses.

Quarterly/Yearly: Make adjustments to your budget, set long-term goals (saving for a house, retirement).
Areas: Include income sources, housing costs, utilities, groceries, transportation, entertainment, and
savings goals.

DOC 109- IDENTIFYING PURPOSE

Exercise:

1) As a tailor, bricklayer or in your career field, how do you think you can fulfill purpose? Describe
in 3 lines how you fulfill purpose in your choice of career
Living by Example: This is a subtle but powerful way to share your faith. At work, you can demonstrate
Christian values like honesty, integrity, kindness, and compassion in your daily interactions with
colleagues and clients. When people see the positive impact of your faith, it might spark curiosity and
open doors for conversations about your beliefs.

Offering Help with a Generous Spirit: Look for opportunities to go above and beyond in your work.
Maybe you can volunteer to mentor a new colleague, offer to help someone facing a deadline, or simply
lend a listening ear to a coworker going through a tough time. By showing genuine care and support,
you demonstrate the love and compassion that are core Christian values.

Sharing Hope and Encouragement: Conversations at work don't always have to be strictly business-
related. If a colleague is feeling discouraged or overwhelmed, you can offer words of encouragement
and hope. You could share a relevant Bible verse or simply express your faith in their ability to overcome
challenges. This might lead to deeper conversations about your beliefs if they're open to it.

Exercise:
If money was not an issue, what would you do with your time? List 5 things.

Global Outreach: Fund and participate in mission trips to spread the Gospel, build schools or medical
facilities in underprivileged areas, and provide disaster relief around the world.

Local Impact: Establish a foundation or non-profit organization to address local needs like soup kitchens,
homeless shelters, after-school programs for underprivileged children, or job training initiatives.

Christian Education: Fund scholarships for students pursuing theological degrees, establish Christian
schools or libraries, or develop online resources for free Bible study and theological education.

Environmental Stewardship: Support sustainable living initiatives, invest in renewable energy sources,
or establish conservation efforts to protect God's creation.

Medical Ministry: Fund medical research focused on finding cures for diseases, establish free or low-
cost medical clinics in underserved areas, or sponsor medical mission trips.
