Lesson Organization:

1. Presentation (10 mins)

1. Introduction to the Topic (5 mins):

○ Begin by introducing the concept of a safari and a leisure park. Discuss what
students know about these places (e.g., animals in safaris, rides in parks, types of
attractions).
○ Use visual aids (flashcards or images) to show examples of animals, rides, and
attractions that might be found in a safari and leisure park.
○ Introduce key vocabulary: safari, leisure park, animals, tickets, rules, attractions,
rides. Write these words on the board.
○ I will ask students about their experiences or thoughts on visiting such places.
This will serve as an icebreaker to engage them in the topic.
2. Preview the Text (5 mins):
○ Introduce the text that students will be reading.
○ Provide a brief overview of the text’s content without giving away too much
detail. For example, "This text describes a visit to a safari and leisure park. Let’s
see what activities and animals we will read about."
○ I will point out important sections in the text that contain new vocabulary or
concepts.

2. Practice (20 mins)

1. Reading Comprehension (10 mins):

○ Students read the text about the safari and leisure park individually.
○ While reading, they will underline or highlight any new vocabulary words.
○ After reading, I will ask comprehension questions based on the text, such as:
■ "What animals can be found in the safari?"
■ "What activities are available in the leisure park?"
■ "What are some rules to follow in the park?"
○ I will encourage students to answer in full sentences and to refer to the text for
evidence.
2. Vocabulary Practice (10 mins):
○ Provide students with a set of vocabulary exercises that focus on the words
introduced during the lesson. These exercises could include matching definitions,
filling in the blanks, or creating sentences with the new vocabulary.
○ Students will complete these exercises individually or in pairs.
○ I will walk around to provide support, ensuring that students understand how to
use the vocabulary in context.
3. Production (15 mins)

1. Group Discussion (7 mins):

○ Students will work in small groups to discuss the text and answer questions based
on it.
○ Each group will discuss one aspect of the text, such as:
■ Group 1: "What animals would you like to see in a safari and why?"
■ Group 2: "What rides would you recommend in a leisure park?"
■ Group 3: "What do you think are the most important rules to follow in a
safari or leisure park?"
○ After group discussions, each group will share their answers with the class. I will
encourage them to use the new vocabulary they have learned during the
discussion.
2. Role-Play (8 mins):
○ In pairs, students will role-play a situation where one is a visitor to a safari or
leisure park, and the other is a park guide.
○ The visitor will ask questions like, “What animals can I see?” or “What are the
rules here?” and the guide will provide answers based on the text.
○ This activity will allow students to practice speaking, listening, and using the new
vocabulary in a real-life context. I will circulate around the class, providing
feedback and assistance as needed.

Methodology:

● Task-Based Learning: The lesson is structured around tasks that require students to use
language to complete real-world activities, such as reading, discussing, and role-playing.
● Collaborative Learning: Students will work in groups and pairs, encouraging
communication and teamwork.
● Interactive Learning: The use of visual aids, role-play, and group discussions will
actively involve students in the lesson.
● Critical Thinking: Students will need to think critically about the text, using their
knowledge to answer comprehension questions and discuss the topic in groups.
● Technology Integration: If available, students will use computers or tablets to research
more about safaris or leisure parks, or to create digital posters about what they would
include in a park.
Assessment:

● Formative Assessment:
○ I will monitor students' participation during reading and comprehension activities,
as well as their vocabulary practice.
○ During group discussions and role-plays, I will assess students’ speaking and
listening skills.
○ Feedback will be given on how well they use new vocabulary and structure their
responses.
● Summative Assessment:
○ I will evaluate the accuracy and creativity of their answers, paying attention to
their use of vocabulary and grammar.

Homework:

○ Students will write 5 sentences using the vocabulary words learned in class.
○ Alternatively, they can create a small poster describing a safari or leisure park
using the new vocabulary. They can include animals, activities, and park rules.
