Speaking Test

Các em sẽ bốc thăm và nói trực tiếp tại lớp. Bài trình bày từ 2 đến 2,5 phút.
Thời gian: 17/12

Topic 1: Family Life

Talking about doing housework
1. Do you think children should do housework?
2. What benefits do you get when sharing housework?
From my point of view, I think children should participate in housework but in a
way that is appropriate for their age and abilities.
First of all, it allows them to understand the hard work that their parents, especially
their moms, contribute to the family every day.It also provides an opportunity to
express their gratitude to their parents. By experiencing the effort involved in
housework, they will gain a better understanding and develop empathy for their
parents' stresses. Additionally, their personalities are likely to be sharpenedIf they
haven't been doing housework, they may not become very organized individuals.
They learn how to organize things and take care of themselves. Sharing housework
can foster stronger family relationships.

Topic 2: Human and the environment

Talk about ways to live green
What should / shouldn’t you do to live green?
Living green means adopting habits that protect the environment and promote
sustainability. To start, conserving energy is essential—turn off lights and unplug
electronic devices when not in use, and choose energy-efficient appliances
whenever possible. Saving water is another crucial step, which can be done by
fixing leaks, using water-saving fixtures, and avoiding wasteful practices like
leaving taps running unnecessarily. Reducing waste plays a major role in living
green, so focus on recycling, composting organic materials, and replacing single-
use plastics with reusable alternatives. Transportation choices also matter; walking,
biking, carpooling, or using public transport can significantly reduce carbon
emissions. Additionally, planting trees, creating green spaces, and supporting
sustainable brands help combat climate change and preserve natural resources.
However, it’s equally important to avoid actions that harm the planet, such as
wasting resources, overconsuming, burning trash, or disregarding environmental
initiatives like recycling drives. By making mindful choices and encouraging
others to do the same, we can collectively create a cleaner, greener, and more
sustainable future.

Topic 3: For a better Community

Talking about the benefits of volunteering activities
1. Have you ever volunteered or done community service?
2. If yes, what did you do?
If no, what is your plan to help people in your community?
3. What are the benefits of volunteering activities?
Volunteering and community service play a vital role in both personal development
and community improvement. While I don't personally volunteer, many individuals
engage in activities like helping at food banks, tutoring students, organizing events,
or cleaning up local parks. The benefits of volunteering are numerous. It helps
individuals develop new skills, build confidence, and create valuable connections
with others. For the community, it leads to positive changes such as improved
public spaces and increased support for those in need. Volunteering also offers
mental health benefits, as helping others brings a sense of fulfillment and purpose,
while fostering empathy and understanding of different life experiences.

Topic 4: Inventions
Talking about the benefits of an invention
The invention of smartphones has brought numerous benefits, revolutionizing the
way people live, work, and communicate. One of the most significant advantages
is the ability to stay connected with others at all times, regardless of location. With
just a few taps, individuals can make calls, send messages, or video chat with
friends, family, or colleagues. Smartphones have also become essential tools for
productivity, offering access to email, calendars, document editing, and task
management apps, allowing people to work on the go. Additionally, smartphones
serve as powerful sources of entertainment, providing access to music, videos,
games, and social media platforms. They have transformed the way we navigate
the world, with GPS and maps making it easier to find directions, while apps allow
for on-demand services like food delivery or ride-sharing. Moreover, smartphones
have helped improve access to information, enabling users to search for news,
research topics, and even take online courses. Ultimately, the smartphone has
become a central hub for many aspects of modern life, enhancing convenience and
connectivity.
