I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson 75% of the learners will be able to:

a) Visualize and describe surface area and name the unit of measure
used from measuring the surface area of solid or space figures;
b) Derive a formula for finding the surface area of cubes, prisms,
pyramids, cylinders, cone and spheres; and
c) Recognize the importance of surface area in real-world
applications.
