📚 Step-by-Step Mixing Process

🔹 Phase A – Water Phase (Prepare First)

1. In a beaker, add Aqua (Water) - 50-55%.

2. Sprinkle Carbomer (0.2-0.5%) slowly while stirring to avoid clumps. Let it fully
hydrate for 10-15 minutes.
3. Add Xanthan Gum (0.2-0.4%) and mix gently using a magnetic stirrer or hand mixer
until fully dispersed.
4. Add Tetrasodium EDTA (0.05-0.2%) to enhance stability. Stir well.
5. Add Aloe Vera Leaf Juice (2-4%) and mix for 2-3 minutes.

🔹 Phase B – Powder Dispersal (Key for Powder Finish)

6. In another dry beaker, mix Tapioca Starch (10-15%) with Propanediol (3-5%).
7. Add Polysorbate 20 (2-4%) and mix until a uniform slurry is formed.
8. Slowly add this powder slurry into Phase A, stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Use
a homogenizer (2000-3000 rpm) for smooth blending.
🔹 Phase C – Final Adjustments & Preservatives

9. Add Phenoxyethanol (0.8-1%) and Ethylhexylglycerin (0.3-0.5%) as preservatives.

10. Add Fragrance (0.5-1%), Limonene (0.05-0.2%), and Linalool (0.05-0.2%). Mix well.
11. Add Mulberry Extract (1-3%) and White Lotus Extract (1-3%) for skin benefits. Stir
gently.
12. Adjust pH by slowly adding Sodium Hydroxide (0.1-0.3%) drop by drop until pH is
5.5-6.5.
13. Mix for 10 minutes at low speed to ensure everything is evenly dispersed.

🌟 Final Steps:

✅ Check Consistency: Should be a light lotion. ✅ Test Powder Transformation: Apply a small
amount on the skin – it should feel silky, dry, and non-greasy within 10-15 seconds. ✅ Bottle &
Store: Pour into airless pump bottles or squeeze tubes to prevent contamination. ✅ Stability
Test: Keep samples at room temperature, high humidity, and refrigeration for at least 4
weeks to check for separation, mold, or changes in texture.

🔮 Quick Pro-Tips:

✔ Use a homogenizer (or high-speed mixer) for a super smooth texture. ✔ Tweak Tapioca
Starch levels – More = drier, powdery feel, Less = softer, lotion-like. ✔ Use dimethicone or
silica microspheres if you want a more velvety feel.
