What are Prepositions of Place?
Prepositions of place are words that describe the
location or position of objects in relation to other
objects. They help us understand where something
is.
Examples:
The book is on the table.
The cat is under the chair.
The clock is above the door.
Common Prepositions of Place
Basic Prepositions:
On → The book is on the table.📖
In → The keys are in the bag.🔑
Under → The shoes are under the bed. 👟
More Examples:
Next to / Beside → The lamp is next to the sofa. 🛋️
Behind → The cat is behind the curtain. 🐱
🚗
In front of → The car is in front of the house.
Between → The chair is between the two tables. 🪑

Note
"In" y "On" también se usan como preposiciones de tiempo. Las veremos en
Semana 6, Clase 3.
Además, "On" puede significar encender o activar algo, como en botones o
interruptores:
