PERFORMANCE TASK IN UCSP

Directions for the Infographic:


1. Title and Theme
o Choose a clear and engaging title that reflects the topic. "Interconnection of
Culture, Society, and Politics: A Snapshot."
2. Content
o Define Culture: Include its definition, elements (e.g., traditions, beliefs, arts,
language), and examples.
o Define Society: Highlight its structure, roles, norms, and how it shapes human
interaction.
o Define Politics: Explain its role in governance, power dynamics, and decision-
making in society.
o Showcase their interconnection: Illustrate how culture, society, and politics
influence each other.
o Provide relevant examples: Use historical, contemporary, or real-world scenarios.
3. Design
o Use a logical layout: Organize information into sections with
headings/subheadings.
o Include visuals: Use icons, charts, timelines, or diagrams to represent concepts
effectively.
o Apply a consistent color scheme and font style.
4. Sources
o Ensure accuracy by including reliable sources for data, quotes, or examples. Add
a small “Sources” section at the bottom.

Rubric for Assessment


Content (40 Points)

 40-36 Points: Comprehensive and accurate explanations of culture, society, and politics,
with strong interconnections and examples.
 35-30 Points: Clear and accurate explanations with some interconnection and examples.
 29-20 Points: Partial explanations, minimal interconnection, or few examples.
 Below 20 Points: Inaccurate or incomplete content with no connections or examples.

Visual Design (30 Points)

 30-27 Points: Highly engaging, well-organized, visually appealing layout with


appropriate use of visuals and design principles.
 26-21 Points: Visually clear and organized with some effective use of visuals.
 20-15 Points: Basic design with limited use of visuals or poor organization.
 Below 15 Points: Unappealing or confusing design with minimal visuals.

Creativity and Innovation (20 Points)

 20-18 Points: Original, creative, and thought-provoking representation of ideas.


 17-14 Points: Some creative elements and effort.
 13-10 Points: Minimal creativity or generic approach.
 Below 10 Points: Lacks creativity and originality.

Sources and Accuracy (10 Points)

 10 Points: All information is accurate and properly cited.


 9-7 Points: Most information is accurate and cited.
 6-4 Points: Some inaccuracies or missing citations.
 Below 4 Points: Numerous inaccuracies with no citations.

Total Score: 100 Points


Encourage students to balance content depth, creativity, and visual appeal to create a compelling
infographic.
