📌 Task 1: Set Up Your SEO Toolkit & Run an SEO Audit
Create accounts on Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ubersuggest, and
Screaming Frog
Find a real business website (a friend’s site, local store, or an online business)
Run a FREE SEO audit and identify at least 5 major SEO issues
Take screenshots and document what’s wrong and how to fix it
🔹 Deliverable: A simple SEO audit report with findings and suggestions
📌 Task 2: Keyword Research & Competitor Analysis
Choose a business niche (restaurants, e-commerce, personal blogs, coaching, etc.)
Use Google Keyword Planner & Ubersuggest to find 10 high-potential keywords
Pick 5 long-tail keywords with low competition
Compare Google Trends for keyword trends
Pick a competitor’s website and analyze their top-performing keywords
🔹 Deliverable: A Google Sheet or Notion page with keyword research & competitor analysis
📌 Task 3: Optimize Website Content for SEO
Find a blog post or webpage on the website you’re working on
Optimize the page for On-Page SEO:
✅ Add a strong title tag & meta description
✅ Use H1, H2, H3 headings properly
✅ Improve internal linking to related content
✅ Optimize images (compress, rename, and add ALT text)
🔹 Deliverable: A link to the optimized webpage or a document with recommended changes
📌 Task 4: Build 5 High-Quality Backlinks
Guest Post Outreach: Find 3 blogs in your niche and offer to write an article
Broken Link Building: Find & replace 2 broken links with your content
Quora/Reddit Answers: Answer 3 relevant SEO-related questions and link back to your
content
🔹 Deliverable: A list of your backlinks with URLs
📌 Task 5: Improve Local SEO & Social Signals
Set up a Google My Business profile for a business (or help an existing one improve it)
List the business in 3 directories (Yelp, Bing Places, Apple Maps)
Promote your optimized blog post on LinkedIn, Twitter & Pinterest
🔹 Deliverable: Links/screenshots of local listings & social media shares
📌 Task 6: Improve Website Speed & Mobile SEO
Run Google PageSpeed Insights & GTMetrix on the website
Fix at least 3 speed-related issues (like image compression, caching, minification)
Ensure the site passes Google Mobile-Friendly Test
🔹 Deliverable: Before & after test results showing improvements
